I will first start off by saying I am not a girly girl, I don't even enjoy wearing dresses. So I was sort of dreading shopping for a wedding dress. I would rather go down the aisle in a pair of jeans.

But I knew I needed a gown so my mom and I went on the hunt today, and I found my dress!

It was the first one I tried on today, its an Alfred Angelo, style 1136 in Ivory. I have not ordered it yet, but am ordering it this weekend.

I need to get the longer length so it will be a bit extra. But I love it!!

I have never felt excited about trying on dresses, but when I put this on I knew it was it!! Ahhhh!!! So excited!

I am getting the ivory, it is a-line with a built in crinoline, and it has a lot of detail with sequins and rhinestones on the bust area, I love it!

And it does not have a very long train (I wanted the shortest train!) and its a corset back (which I wanted).

What a gorgeous dress! I love it. How tall are you? Why did you have to get a longer length?

Congrats! I know how you feel about not being a girly girl and hate wearing dresses and would rather go in jeans!...and dreading dress shopping! I was right there the first couple times I went!! But then you find the one you love - awesome feeling isn't it!! Happy Planning!!

I haven't been on this site recently but now that I'm only 3 months out I'm trying to get some last minute ideas. I just saw this posting from you and I picked the SAME dress (except mine is white). I got it in in December and I have my first fitting on March 9th. I absolutely love the dress. Your description of you sounds exactly like me with the jeans. This was the first dress I tried on as well. Great minds think alike! And, I love how the dress makes your waist feel so skinny. It's a great dress!

Thanks everyone!! And yes soon2bemrsd, the dress is amazing. Just feels comfortable. And I like the sequins and rhinestones around the boobage area...lol. brings focus away from other parts of my body...lol.
