Wow. All I can say is I thought I had an idea of what to do for some basic vellum or tissue wrappe...

Wedding Reception
Dance the night away!
I found these chinese slippers for $18/dozen on www.intertradecorp.com. I bought a dozen each in black, white and pink (size 6,7,8). I think they'll be a nice touch for ladies that want to kick of their shoes and bust a move. I'd like to put them in an old-fashioned steel washbin with a damask ribbon around it, but I have NO idea where to find one!
Any ideas?? |

Wedding Invitation
Address request
Hi ladies,
I wanted to send a little something out via email to try and get people's mailing addresses. I made this in PowerPoint, and converted it to a jpeg so it was pretty easy to send. What have other people done to get addresses? Thanks! |

Wedding Dress
Simply...me!
I finally found my dress - and it's perfect! I gave up on the backless dress idea when I tried this little gem on. It's light, and airy and ideal for our outdoor golf course wedding.
The BEST part: It was only $375!!! I couldn't believe it, that's not even a sale price! So, that leaves me with tons of cash for alterations. I'm going to have the back made into a corset and (following the lead of other fashion-forward brides) dye the crinoline hot pink. I think it will look awesome :) |

Bridesmaids
Keepin it in the family
I decided to ask my fiance's sister Rachelle (Chelle) to be my MOH. She's just like a sister to me, and I can credit many of Brandon's good habits to her. She's crazy supportive and we have tons in common. She and Brandon are really close and it means lots to him to have his sister in the wedding party.
In turn, Brandon has chosen my brother, Troy, to be his best man. They used to work together and have a blast when they hang out. That's going to be it for our wedding party; just the two siblings. In our immediate family we only have one small child, my most adorable nephew Ethan, who will be our ring bearer. (Haven't decided yet if we'll have a flower girl or not...has anyone else only had a ring bearer?) My question though is what to offer my sister-in-law (my brother's wife) as a role in the ceremony? Obviously I need her to take care of Ethan but I want her to feel included. Maybe I can ask her to do a reading? Has anyone else gone through this? I just want to make sure everyone feels like a part of the family. Hmm...just not sure what to do... |

Monogram
What do you think?
I've been puttering around with different graphics programs and came up with this monogram. I was thinking of using it for things like wine labels and invitations.
Since it's my first one, I'd really appreciate some feedback! Please let me know what you think :) |

Candy Buffet
Apocathary Jars
Hi ladies,
For those of you who are looking for funky jars and such for a candy table, right now at Costco there is a really awesome group of 3 apocathary jars for about $35.99. They are going to be a perfect addition to my table! I'm already having candy visions! :) |

Guest Book Alternative
Shake it like a Polaroid picture!
A friend of mine was at a wedding recently and filled me in on this awesome idea. The couple had a friend sitting at the entrance of the reception hall (where the guestbook would be) and she took a polaroid photo of each couple as they came into the wedding. Then the couples signed their photo and the bride now has an album of all the guests at their wedding! What a wicked idea! I think we're totally going to do it!
Has anyone else ever seen/done this? |

Wedding Dress
How many dresses tried on is TOO many??
Soooo....I've heard that trying on dresses is one of the best parts of wedding planning. The thing is - I'm not having ANY fun!
All the dresses seem like they're made for someone else..all complicated and frilly. Is it just me? Has anyone else felt like this? My dream dress is very simple in the front and super sexy in the back...but I can't find it anywhere! Has anyone bought a dress online and had a good experience? I need some reassurance that I'll actually "know" when I find the right one! :) Thanks beautiful brides! |

Ask a Question
Classy golf wedding ideas?
So our wedding is happening on a golf course - something that's always been a bit of a dream for both of us. Golf is one of our favourite things to do together.
I'd like to incorporate a few golf things into our wedding, but not as a 'theme'. Have any of you lovely ladies used anything golf as part of your weddings? I'm also trying to get some photo op ideas together too. Thanks ladies! |
