What to do when your bff is a btb also?!

I've never really been in that predicament, out of my main group of friends, I'm the last one to get married. I got engaged right before my best friend got married so it wasn't long enough to be any sort of problem. I don't think it would have been anyway though because we all are so different including our wedding styles! I'm glad I dont have to "share" the experience though. That kinda sounds bad but every girl wants to feel like she has one day thats all about her!

Two of my best friends and I are all getting married within a month of each other. May 15, June 5, and June 12. One friend was upset at me for making my wedding May 15 because she said it was too close to ours. She hates the idea of me being a BTB at the same time. However, the other one and I got engaged within 2 weeks of each other and we are both so excited to be planning our weddings together. We bought magazines and had Starbucks together just bouncing ideas off each other. We both have similar tastes so we are helpful but we also each have different ideas for our weddings so its not the issue of stealing ideas. Its all in what you make of it. Try to make it fun and exciting and do things together. The only problem I have is when she and I go dress shopping together (which we plan to do) she is tiny skinny and I'm not so I'm afraid she'll look better in all the dresses! But other than that it's working out perfectly!

LOL!!!!  My best friend and Maid of Honor (I was engaged first)  ;)  recently got engaged.  I am now her Maid of honor too!  I am getting married in August, she in September.  It has actually been pretty fun.  We chat about wedding ideas, and a couple weeks ago we went to a bridal show together.  The hard part, although is trying to be excited to plan hers while I'm planning mine, if you know what I mean!  She and I have different taste, which helps, but all and all, I think it's fun!  By the way, another one of my bridesmaids is also engaged and getting married 2 months before my wedding- and we are also swapping ideas.  Enjoy!

My 2 cousins, who were both born the same year as I was, are all getting married in 2010.  Though my wedding comes first, I got engaged last.

We don't feud because we all have different weddings and different styles.  Our dresses are even totally different from one another.  I am having a garden ceremony with a dinner reception in a hotel's ballroom, one is having a exotic destination wedding in a cave in Jamaica, and I don't know what my other cousin is doing.  Her wedding is over a year away and she had just started planning.

We all live in different states and different parts of the world, so we keep in touch through emails, IMs, and texts to exchange ideas and links!

My friend is engaged and was planning her wedding and also needed my opinions - because I talk way....too much I gave her a lot and ended up distancing myself. She called off the wedding and will go with the traditional (African) and have the BIG one later - Recession!!!!

It's great to share but when you have simialr tastes - be careful of what you say especially if she goes 1st.

no im not in that situation but i think i could understand if a close friend of mine was engaged and getting married around the same date as me. I think i would feel she was stealing my thunder lol... lucky for me im the first of our friends to get married.... so no competition
