K, I can no longer contain my excitment!!!!!
So It's been a super crazy year and it just seems to be getting better and better... I only met Nick in early April 2008... we started talking a couple days before I left for New York for a week of R&R (retail & relaxation). Since I've returned we've been inseparable.. he truly is my best friend - it's absolutly true "when you know.. you just know!"
The past year and a half I have I have really been exploring who I am and what it is that I love... turns out that I love travel and culture. In that time I have ventured to Las Vegas, backpacked the Grande Canyon, volunteered in Guatemala, hiked the Rockies, painted the town red in New York.. and now I'm off to Egypt!!! I'm the kinda girl who always needs something on the go... something on the horizon to look forward to - maybe thats why Nick proposed so soon - He knew that a wedding would keep me home longer. lol.
because I booked the trip before Nick and I were anything serious I'm going to be flying solo. It's gonna be hard to leave him and all the plans we've been trying to make. Therefore, I am making it a mini mission that while I'm in Egypt I am to find a couple of wedding items (shalls for the bridesmaids, bridesmaid gifts, unique decor items) things to provide inspiration for our big day. This is going to be no small task. Inbetween playing Dora the Explorer, Lara Croft tomb raider, floating down the Nile and riding camels... I still plan to plan our wedding from 12 000 km away. Poor Nick - he's lucky that this is a one time thing and probably more lucky that he's staying behind (I would have made him carry all of my puchases - now I just have to hire a donkey while I'm there to do all that dirty work.lol)
Anyways, I'm super excited for my trip... and more excited to return and post all my finds!!! Should be an interesting one. See you around the 21st of October... Happy early Thanksgiving to all the Canucks!
