In need of some advice
beach wedding
Alright ladies....i need some advice. After going back and forth for the past week, my FH and I decided to skip a huge wedding and reception and go with an intimate beach wedding with only a few close family and friends. Its going to save us a ton of money allowing us to put a down payment on a new house plus I love the idea of a small wedding. My question is...we're thinking about a tented reception and bonfire so I'd like to serve hamburgers and hotdogs. I was thinking about smores ingredient favors to roast over the fire. Is all that too casual? Maybe even a little tacky? Even with a little concern, I still like the idea. Just looking for a second opinion...

Wedding Budget
today's the BIG day
So today is the day my FH and I are sitting down with my dad to discuss our budget. I'm extremely nervous and hate asking my dad for money. Hopefully he's pleasantly surprised with our budget and just starts handing us money lol. At the very least, I hope we're on the same page with the amount of money we both expect to spend. Wish me luck!

Ask a Question
Wishing trees
I am not really a fan of traditional wedding customs. I came across a wedding wishing tree and fell in love with it. I love that there is a place for guests to write personal messages to the bride and groom. I also like that it will be a fairly large item at the reception and can double duty as decoration. Anyone else planning on a wishing tree instead of a tradtional guest book?

Bridesmaids
Will you be my bridesmaid?
I knew I wanted to do something unique and creative when asking my bridesmaids to be in the wedding. I thought about sending flowers or handwritten cards but neither one of them had the personality I was looking for....THEN I found these and couldn't resist. They were exactly what I was looking for and pretty easy to make. I matched the hair to each girl in the wedding and printed the card at home on my computer. The whole thing took a couple hours and cost about $15 total.

My 1st official blog
So I decided to start blogging about my wedding planning experiences because my wedding is almost entirely DIY. After scouring the internet for countless hours I'd like to share some of the things I've found so far. Plus it'll be nice to have everything in one spot. Hopefully this helps y'all a little.
