Bridal Expo, And DJ picked!
So we went to the bridal expo yesterday and had so much fun. I really recommend anyone that has a chance to definitely go to one. We got so many great ideas and there were so many different vendors to look at and compare. We booked a DJ which I am really excited about and since we booked yesterday they knocked $200 off the package price! We also picked the place that we are going to get the tuxes from and we won free shoes for everyone. They have all kinds of prizes you can win from different vendors including a cruise for your honeymoon. Unfortunately we didn't win the cruise. :( I also made an appointment to go and try on dresses at Davids Bridal in just a few weeks. I haven't tried any on yet and I am getting so close to the wedding but I kept wanting to lose weight before I bought one. I haven't had time to exercise much so that never really happened but I need to get a dress and Jon thinks I am beautiful the way I am so that's good enough for me. Less than three months now! Wow time has flown by and now its crunch time. I just hope I can pull everything off with working and going to school full time as well as trying to keep up with everything else life throws at you. They also had a fashion show with dresses from stores in the area and I found both bridal dresses and bridesmaid dresses that I loved. Definitely had a great day!

4 Months!!!!!
I can't believe our wedding is exactly four months away! I am getting so excited. I haven't been able to post on here much because I have been busy with work and school but I am at home sick today so I will probably be planning stuff all day. I think its about time to start trying to lose weight. I have gained about 30 pounds since i met my fiance and its really bothering me now. Its just so hard because he lives with me and he loves sweets but he never gains weight and we are both so busy that we don't normally have time to cook a healthy meal so we just cook something thats quick or eat out somewhere. I don't know how I am going to lose weight when he is always wanting a candy bar or brownies. Its really hard to lose weight considering he thinks that I am perfect the way I am but I disagree I just wanna lose weight and have better confidence in myself. So anyways does anyone have any suggestions for losing weight? What has worked for you guys? Any suggestions would really help me.

So there is less than 5 months to our wedding and I am so excited. I still have tons to do including most of the big things like the caterer, dj, and the flowers but I do have it all planned out in my head. Im getting so excited!

Will this look weird?
So I really love tiger lilies and wanted to do that for my bouquet as well as a smaller version for the bridesmaids but I also love gerber Daisha I think they are so cute and simple but I was wondering if it would look weird if I used both of them not in the same places though. I was planning on using tiger lilies in my bouquet and probably on the cake i thought it would eb cute if the flower girl had gerber Daisies but at the same time it might also look weird so I'm torn on that. Then at the reception I wanted two small gerber daisy centerpieces and maybe some on the cookie table. Then on the cake was going to have tiger lilies and maybe some bigger arrangements of these too. I'm so torn the more I think about it the more I think it will look rediculous but I love these two flowers. How can I tie it all in together. The main problem is I love the tiger lily bouquet and I think they make me look more grown up but I think the gerber daisy centerpiece is also very cute and really wanna use that. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Centerpiece
So I think I have decided on my centerpieces. At my venue the tables are rectangular with a beautiful wood that seat 8 people, four on each side of the table. Instead of covering the tables up we are going to put orange table runners on them and pink sashes on the chairs. Instead of just doing one bigger centerpiece I thought of doing two small ones and then a vase with a floating candle. The two small ones will be like my first picture with a small square vase with pink Gerber daises (maybe 5 or 6) in it. I am not going to put them in the center but a little bit further apart. Probably in between the end and middle chairs on each side of the table. Not sure that makes sense but it is kind of hard to explain. Anyways then in the very of middle of the table I am going to put an 8 inch vase with a floating candle in it (2nd pic) but instead of a rose like the second pic I may have a Gerber daisy or maybe nothing. Any other ideas? I can get the vases at dollar tree can you believe that? The floating candles are pretty cheap too just a couple dollars a piece if that. Tell me what you all think. Is it not enough or too much or perfect. I think it will be cute. I am not having a very formal wedding and I am going to have an appetizer buffet. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Our First Song has been Decided
Lately I have been really hooked on the song Then by Brad Paisley. Well tonight I was listening to it and all the sudden it hit me...this is perfect for our first dance! So when my soon to be hubby got home I had him listen to it and he said it was perfect. I'm so excited. I love this song and it is so romantic. I'm slowly getting things planned one by one. :)

Arranged Seating Problem
I think we should do a seating chart or some sort of arranged seating but my FH disagrees. He sees it as we are trying to tell people who they get to and do not get to talk to during the wedding. I'm not sure what to do. I still have awhile to decide since we arent even close to sending out invitations let alone getting a final count. Anyways there are about 100 seats at our venue and we are inviting about 110 but there are many people that I know will not come but just wanted to invite them because of some of the other people I am inviting. For example I am inviting my boss and his family because he has helped me out a lot over the past five years and I am inviting many people from work but I know that he will not come. Anyways I am only counting on about 80 people coming but I am afraid that if I do not do a seating chart that there will be people stuck sitting next to people they don't know where as if I do a seating chart I can seat people that I know will get along and that know eachother anyways together. What should I do? My FH is completely against it.

I cant decide which invitation to use. My FH likes the first one but I love the second. He thinks the second one is just too busy. It will only cost us about $40 more. The first one we would be using the orange ribbon and fushia lettering. Tell me what you all think.

The Menu
I can't decide what to serve at the reception. I was thinking of an appetizer menu. Has anyone ever done an appetizer menu or been to a wedding that has had one?
Here are the ideas I have so far... Chicken breast tenders cut into bitesize, wrapped in bacon, and rolled in brown sugar, you can also do meat cut into bitesize, marinated with just about anything, beef or pork are great marinated or cooked in some kind of sweet or teriaki, with a toothpick tortilla pinwheels, premake just spread a flour tortillas with mix of creamcheese, salsa, and shredded cheese and one sliced, diced, jalapeno,roll tortilla up tight and wrap in plastic wrap and leave in frig up to one day in advance then take out slice and set on plate Buy hotdogs, cut into three's. Use a pound of bacon, cut into three's also. Wrap around the hotdog pieces, put into baking pan, single layers. Take a couple of handfuls of brown sugar and sprinkle over these. Bake at 375 degrees until they are crispy. These are just a few recipes that I found on the internet. I would also be serving chicken tenders (have to its my favorite food ), fruits, vegetables, and crackers and cheeses. What do you guys think? |

Since the tables and chairs at our reception hall are so beautiful we have decided not to cover the entire table. Instead we are going to buy an orange table runner and have pink centerpieces. With pink sashes on the chairs. I still haven't decided what I want the centerpiece to look like yet but I have found a website tableclothsfactory.com that has many table linens and they are the cheapest i have found them. Its about the same price to rent them but I cant find anywhere close to me that rents table runners just table cloths. I just ordered one table runner and one sash so I can see what they look like. I can't wait till they get here.
