Planning is Insanity
WoW! I cannot believe how insane it is to plan a wedding. First off Our colors we finally decided on Chocolate Brown And Lime green with accents of Crisp White. I have some pics of what it would look like. Our budget is set for a low 10,000 but I am determined to make it work. We have so far about 80 guests and that is our A list. We are planning the event in Las Vegas because we have a lot of family who love to gamble. I also think it would be a fun environment but the packages for some of the Hotels are insanely priced. My biggest problem is the reception which would cost us over the budget if hosted by the hotels. Sooooo with all this I am a little stressed can you believe that my wedding is 13 months away and I am already stressing... Normal?? or not so normal? Now I am told that booking a ceremony/reception site a year in advance is the best way to make sure you actually retain that spot. I need extreme help so anyone who knows of budget including decorating would be so greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has had a wedding in Vegas please if I can get some pointers also greatly appreciated.

I sure as hell hope it's normal. I am in the same place as you! My wedding is NEXT April and most venues and photographers are already booked! How ridiculous is that?!?! And here I was starting early.

It's perfectly normal ladies!! BUT you also need to remember that not EVERY venue is booked.  You guys both still have plenty of time to plan wonderful weddings!  With a $10K budget and 80 guests you will be just fine....you just need to think out side of the box.....try some art galleries in the area, something like that would be perfect for the size of your guest list.......also look up some loft spaces.  I hope this helps and good luck!

Yes, you're normal! Destination weddings are a lot more work! I recommend hotels.com or worryfreevacations. I've received some awesome deals from them and worryfree had great customer service.

Are you looking at hotels on the strip only? Try some off the strip, they are probably cheaper as for everything else in Sin City.

A lot of venues are booked about a year in advance but not everyoone plans a year in advance. It also depends where you live. I'm from  Chicago so there is plethera of venues etc not that much pressure to hurry up and book.

10K is not a lot for a destination wedding if that is supposed to include your hotel stay and airfare on top of ceremony and reception for 80 people.

Like I said call the hotels off the strip, I bet they have better deals on packages and might have all inclusive packages.
