Framing the Vows

Matt and I are writing our own vows and I thought it would be a great idea to frame the vows and keep them in our house long after the "I DO's!"

I think I will have a calligrapher re-write the vows so they can be really pretty, but for now, I bought a shadow box type of thing and really pretty paper and I plan on having this at the wedding. After we each re-cite our vows, we will pin them in here and they will be moved to the cocktail hour gift table so people can read them if they want :) I painted it white, it was a dirty looking Ivory color.

I like this idea. I personally would put these near the guestbook (if you have one) to inspire some beautiful messages! I think it will truly be a wonderful keepsake long after the wedding is over, and perhaps a friendly reminder of how much you love each other when times get tougher.
