Honeymoon
Excellence Playa Mujeres

Our honeymoon was one of the best weeks of my life. It was beautiful, relaxing, and plain awesome. We did an all inclusive resort and we overindulged in EVERYTHING; mini-bar, food, drinks, sun. It was perfection in every way. We took over 500 pictures so I chose a handful :)

We did nothing, we read, we swam, we ziplined in the jungle (amazing experience!!), we snorkled, we parasailed, and we just unwinded... I am so glad we didn't follow the weather forecast because the weather was perfection. It was about 95 everyday (not good for my hair but awesome otherwise) and it rained for about 5-10 minutes each night which was a welcome warm rain and it rained once directly through the sunshine with no clouds. I am so sad to be back and so happy to have had a perfect time. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a beautiful resort where the main goal is relaxation :)

Oh and I gained 5 pounds!! lol!!

How the heck did you manage to get a tan like that?? I would look more like a lobster. You're making me wanna go on a honeymoon now too.

I feel a long comment coming on cuz I have sooo much to say! LOL
I am in love with the X lounge - beds by the ocean? OMG, GENIUS! The towel art is so pretty, that dinner shot is so sweet, your bikinis are kickin' - damn girl! Love the green one! You guys are both gorgeous and in this setting, you look spectacular AND serene :) You are like the hottest snorkeller EVER - the guy behind you is smiling just a bit lolol. And yeah, HOLY TAN BATMAN! Dang, I gotta go get some sun lol. This all looks soooo heavenly and romantic and wonderful and I am so happy you had this time to just be with your hubby, chillax and spend time just unwinding - it does look like perfection! I sooo wanna go to this place, it def looks stunning! I dunno if I would leave the hammock or the X lounge ever!

Love the Big Corona and the Monkey drinks ROCK! And YAY for slides - AWESOME! And frozen lemonade sounds sooo good lol

WOW!!  You guys are SO super tanned!!  I can't wait to be that tanned!!  Your honeymoon looked amazing, and yay for no stormy weather!  We are super duper excited to be jetting off to Los Cabos for our honeymoon in just over a month.  Your pics are gorgeous...gorgeous couple, gorgeous resort and gorgeous weather...can't get any better than that!! :)

Hey girlies- Thanks all!!

Tan questions: I am an Arab so I get pretty dark :) and I had a fairly great base tan for wedding so I didn't really burn. Also, on the first day I put SPF 4 on just to gradually set itno the different sun (I usually bathe in dark tanning oil). :) My face did get really burnt on the last day (the sun was brutal hot) so I came home with a peeling face... anyway (that was boring). There were many lobster people walking around...

Lori2314- The honeymoon registry was in fact utilized. People didn't start using it until the end as it neared the wedding, but yes, we got nearly $4000 in honeymoon funds so it was a good registry.

Tasha- Yes, those are my orange shoes. I actually only took those heels and wore them every night cause I tried to pack light :) and they are comfy and match everything.

Thanks for the recommendation on the honeymoon spot!  We are actually considering this exact spot (or Excellence Ochos Rios, Jamaica...if they ever finish the construction) because my FSIL went to the Excellence Resort-Cancun and raved about how AWESOME it was!!! Glad to here you had a great time too!

nishar03- I def recommend this place if the main goal is relaxation and low key fun!! It was amazing for what we wanted, nice, easy, romantic, beautiful grounds where we wanted to lay around, read, drink, eat and relax like beach bums :). It is all of those things. i have been to other more live "party" all inclusives that are fun but not as beautiful and relaxing so depending on what you want...the Excellence resorts are great and this one rates high among them. Loved every minute of this place!! I've been to Sandals Jamaica Montego Bay and Ocho Rios too and I prefer Mexico personally but they are both great!! I feel there is more to do in mexico in terms of wanting to leave the resort and do excursions, etc. Just my little opinion :)
