Ask a Question
Bachelorette Look??
My bachelorette party is this weekend in my hometown of Detroit!! So excited to go and hang out with all of my old friends and family!! My beautiful sis is flying me out and Matt's sisters are coming and a bunch of other girlfriends...still not sure what we are doing. I do know it's a full day of events. I was told to bring a bikini, something to wear at a pool, something casual (like a summer dress) and something to wear out at night! It's also my beautiful sis's b-day so we are going out on Friday night to celebrate her and we will celebrate her all day as we celebrate me too!! I am beyond excited!

I found this dress today...not sure about it. I'm not 100% sure if it's too "young" looking but I thought it had a fun Betsy Johnson-esque feel. Best part, it was marked down at Forver21 to $13.99 and the sexy heels I'm wearing were $29.99 at Forever21 (they are super high and super comfy) and the neckalce was marked down to $5 at Nordstrom Rack. Complete outfit $50. The top looks a bit big cause I'm not wearing a bra :) I need to fill it in with a bra.

Do you think this is cute enough?? Honesty is always appreciated. If I look like I'm 15, please be a true friend and tell me...ha!

Thanks dolls...

Giving Thanks
and remembering whose I am
In happy moments, praise God
In difficult moments, seek God
In quiet moments, worship God
In uncertain moments, trust God
In every moment, thank God

Just thankful today for Matt and for my family and the wonderful friends I have made on WBC and in life. I so often let life get hectic and forget what this wedding is about; about our love, about God bringing us together and pulling us out of destruction and even death. Our story is a long one, our story was sometimes a painful one, but mostly our story is one of happiness, it's one of peace and our story is one of victory in Christ! We are so abundantly thankful to Him for allowing us this glamorous wedding, for loving us when we aren't deserving, for giving to us freely like a Father would even when I am doubtful and for holding us together always. Today I had a shadow of doubt come over me as I did the budget. I turned to Matt and said "what were we thinking?" and his response came quickly and confidently, "we serve the most high God, don't expect any less." mmmm. Today i am thankful to God for allowing me to spend the rest of my life with the strongest man that I know...who reminds me each day who we are and who we serve. Hallelujah.

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
Vendor Review
So I had my heart set on getting a identical band to match my current engagement ring. I never thought twice about it or even considered other options. It was going to match and that was it...until I met Raffi at Eli's Jewelry. Raffi is kind, honest, helpful and respectful but still able to offer "other options" as a way to make sure that you have considered everything before you make your important purchase. Love that!! Situated among hundreds and hundreds of jewelry stores in the downtown Los Angeles Jewelry District, Eli's Jewelry stands out like a gem the minute you walk through the doors. If any of you have been to the jewlery district, you know how overwhelming it can be! No this place doesn't look any different, but the feeling and professionalism you find here is not duplicated anywhere else on the strip. This is a family owned and operated establishment and they make you feel like family right away!!

So I told Raffi what I wanted: "please duplicate this!" He said he would be happy to (and quoted us a better price than any other store) and then asked me if I had considered a different style. Of course I hadn't! It had to match. He kindly offered to show me other things. I was intrigued by him. After trying on his suggestions, I quickly realized that I was wrong and he was right! Oh my goodness! I hated the matchy look now that I saw how stunning his options were. I was now confused. I needed time. When I finally decided that I wanted a mismatched band, I shopped around the LA jewelry district again (for good measure) and then ended up back at Eli's where I purchased my ring discounted even more than the original quote. I chose a beautiful Platinum Eternity Band that is in the process of being made.

I love this place and I know that I now have a jeweler for life. I would send any of my family here anyday! If you live in California, this place is worth the trip. They make stunning rings at amazing prices!

Wedding Music And Songs
Baby Grand & Violin it is!
Just found out that the beautiful man took matters into his own hands and booked our ceremony and cocktail hour acts...with a baby grand piano and violin duo! No, he didn't get my approval cause I told him the piano was way too expensive but he found a decent deal and now that's it's booked, I'm just happy.

So they will play during the ceremony and then switch into high gear for the cocktail hour to get the party going. They play all kinds of music from Canon in D to the Killers "Mr. Brightside"...perfect.

Another cross (well, actually 2 crosses off the list!)

LOVE dresses are supa fly!
They are all here!! I can't even begin to explain how much I LOVE these Enzoani LOVE collection dresses for the b-maids...I want one!!

They are so worth the money and so gorgeous in person. These pics in my dark room don't do the color justice. This color is so stunning in person, the quality is fabulous and rich feeling/looking and the details are beautiful and it has a built in bra thingy! This is definitely a dress I would wear again!

Enzoani LOVE A15 in Eggplant w/ black belt...prices vary. Ours were $208 w/ shipping.

Make-Up Review
Lipsense: We have a winner folks!
First of all, the credit for introducing me to this creation goes to BANANAPANTS so thank you darlin...she asked if I had tried this and so of course I am all for new products and I googled Lipsense, got connected to a local rep who sent me 6 full size tubes to "try" and I have been in shock and awe ever since.

Ladies, I almost wanted to do a video blog cause it will be hard to really explain this stuff and how miraculous and amazing it is. This stuff blows the MAC longwear out of the water in terms of lasting power and the MAC stuff was pretty good.

Hmmmm, ok where to start: this stuff doesn't come off. period. In fact, you can't take it off if you tried. It simply doesn't budge. It moleculary binds to your skin (no joke). Unlike the MAC stuff that can be removed with an oil based remover , this cannot be removed until your lips start to exfoliate themselves (usually it's about 8-10 hours) or you can use rubbing alcohol to get it off. And it's not drying or clumpy at all! I have worn it without gloss and with gloss (it comes with it's own gloss) and it's not drying either way. The product itself is not thick, in fact it's quite liquidy. You brush on 3 layers (waiting 3-5 seconds btwn. each) and then gloss. If you do make a mistake, there is an "ooops remover" (it's the white tube on the far right) and you can follow the line of your lips with it to clear up any mistakes. However this ooops remover (yes that's what it's called) doesn't work well to remove the whole lip and would be a waste so use rubbing alcohol for that.

Pros:
1. This has the longest staying power of anything out there! period.
2. Doesn't clump.
3. Isn't drying.
4. Has tons of color options (MAC is limited in their color options).

Cons:
1. It's not sold in stores so you can't just go in and try your colors. It's sold by distributors (kinda like AVON) so they have to send you colors to try.
2. It's not cheap. The actual price is same as MAC ($22) for the lipcolor, but then you add their gloss and the ooops remover and it can get pricey. They suggest you don't use other glosses with their lipcolor. Honestly, you can skip the oops remover and dip a q-tip in rubbing alcohol.

Ok, gals, this will be my wedding day lipcolor....now I just have to find the right shade!

Things that make me go hmmm?
The why's and how's
Ahhh, the things that swirl around my big head....

1. Why do birdcage veils cost so much for 12 inches of holey tulle?
2. How do some of you plan an entire wedding for $6,000 for 200 guests and are able to actually feed them? truly fascinated.
3. How am I supposed to ever create a guestlist or seating chart if only 24 out of 150 have responded and the deadline is in 3 days?
4. Why am I the only person in the world who can't figure out how to get Vistaprint to send me free stuff less shipping & handling?
5. Why do people keep asking me where to stay & where we're registered when I've built an entire website laying out all of the details in detail.
6. Why do they make bridal diapers?
7. How do I disregard that I verbally invited the security guard, my boss and a few other random people in my wedding excitement? They keep staring at me.
8. Why do I spend way too much time googling the perfect picture to represent and upload to my post?
9. Why do I have a voice assigned to each WBC bride? I'm sure if I ever meet you guys, I'm gonna be traumatized that you don't match up to the voice I've created for you. There will be a "getting used to the new you" curve...

Do you have questions that don't really require answers?
