I'm having a candy bar so it can be included as one of my favors (I'm also doing a CD). My colors are chocolate Champagne and Gold so I'm probably going to use my colors.
we are doing a candy buffet and we are also doing some baked goods like cookies and brownies (fh and I's fav) and our colors black and hot pink so we will have candy in our colors and some white and silver things too...cant wait!
We are having a candy bar incorporating North American and South American treats/candies! We are sticking to our colours of lavender, tiffany blue, baby blue and white.... There are a couple candies that we will still use even though they are not the colour we wanted
I think the candy buffets are becoming slightly overrated now so instead we are doing a chocolate fountain with a mixture of dipping items.. I do think you can spruce up the typical candy buffet with signature candys that fit in with you're wedding theme.. for instance if you have a vintage theme you would use vintage candy, a beach wedding you'd have a selection of rock candy etc etc. Most people I see that do the candy buffets choose to use the colors of the wedding, I think it really ties everything together and keeps it from looking too childish, if you were having a spring wedding however I think it would be okay to mix up a soft color palette with different color candies.
We are doing a sweet treats buffet. We will have candy and chocolate in our colors, along with cupcake pops, cookies, and rice krispy treats lol. Mine is going to be on a smaller scale though. I'm not going to go over board with sweet treats lol.
We are having Variety. Our wedding is black white and red so it limits the options. We really love things like coke bottles and frogs. What we did was had our bridal party pick there favorite candy and we ordered it. I think it looks great to coordinate but it's candy your guests will love it either way! : ) good luck!
I had a candy bar at my wedding 3 years ago, except we didn't stick to the colors. The wedding is about you and your soon to be hubby not the colors, so the candy bar we had was miniature candies that we both loved. It made it easier for our guests to mix chocolates and fruity candies in the bags, without them mixing flavors if the guests didn't eat the candy right away. But you can keep to the colors or use candies you and your future husband love, Good Luck!
we are having a candy bar too! we are including a bunch of colors so it will add a little excitement i hope :) our colors are pink and yellow but we love bright colors. so we are including sour patch kids, skittles, gummi octopus (crazy but my fav :) ) runts, assorted licorice sticks, ring pops (hehe), jelly bellys in our favorite flavors, starburst, and gumballs. we are also having a chocolate fountain but i think we will separate it from the candy bar.
