Accoustic Guitar for Ceremony?
What songs would you recommend?
We hare having our wedding in a big church (see below) and the have an organ there, but organ music is just NOT what I picture for a wedding ceremony. It's very jarring to me.

My FH and I would like to have at least one accoustic guitar player and MAYBE a violinist for the ceremony. I have found playlists that include all of the favorites like Air in G, and Ave Maria, but do you have any song suggestions for me? We want soothing and romantic, MAYBE with a LITTLE latin flair? I do not know exactly what the genre is called, but I am pretty sure it might be called Classic Guitar.

I am having my grandpa play his guitar at out ceremony...He will be playing air on g and a song he picked for the end. I think guitar is so beautiful sounding & will definitely go with our outside ceremony theme.

You are going with a great choice! Ave Maria is also a gorgeous song. check out the classical songs on my page. :p

Crazy, I just had a big argument with my mom about organ at the wedding today!
She was so excited... she ran into some lady that offered to do the organ for free at my wedding... she knows my mom from years ago or something.
Anyway, I offered thanks to my mom, it was a lovely gesture, but Alex and I have NO interest in a big heavy church organ playing at our ceremony.
To be honest, I'd be happy with recorded music, but it's a Catholic church and I don't think they'll go for it.
We will likely have a trio or something, violin, harp and flute or something soft like that.
Haven't really thought about it too much yet.
The songs that capture my interest are Canon in D Major, Ave Maria, and BELIEVE IT OR NOT the theme song from Forrest Gump.  It's absolutely gorgeous and it's soft piano.

(I've never told anyone this before!!  Watch now within a year every wedding will be Gump-ified!  LOL!)

I have a surprize for my honey.  One of his Groomsmen plays gutair and sings.  So when we are signing the register Paul will play and sing Marry Me by Neil Diamond

I actually used the acoustic guitar music that I downloaded off this site.  It sounded really nice... Nobody really thought it sounded like a good idea, to have an acoustic guitar, but I was very pleased.  I wouldn't have changed a thing. We had a cd player and mixer hiden away so it  wasn't an eye sore for the guests.

Our reception DJ also had a sound system at our ceremony.
My girls came down to Over the Rainbow,
myself to Bridal March by Jonathan Cain AWESOME version!! I didn't want the traditional, but something with a twist. I got chills the first time I heard it and knew I had to go down the aisle to it. I balled like a baby once I got out of the limo!!
Then our recessional was By Your Side by Sade.
