Wedding Dress
Excited!!!
Well, awhile ago I posted a new dress that I fell in love with after watching "Say Yes to The Dress." Turns out this dress is about $13,000. Um, I don't think so.
Sooo... today I realize that Maggie Sottero (my fav!) has a new collection out, and I find a dress that looks JUST like the expensive one... minus a couple sparkles! I still haven't tried this dress on, but I know it's exactly what I want. Do you think this new Maggie dress is almost identical to the expensive one?!? I think it's close... and I'm so excited because I love all Maggies. (Although I'm not impressed with the 2010 collection). Also... if I end up getting this one... I think I would add on the sparkles to the top like the expensive one has. I want there to be sparkle if there's just a face/shoulder shot. Has anyone done this? How much does it cost to get stuff like that added on?!?? |

Shoes!
Some shoes I like...
I don't have my dress yet, so I def. can't decide on shoes, but I was bored so I decided to look.
The first ones are my favorite!!! I see them everytime I'm in Dillards and I always look at them, but the only problem is they only come in black and gold. :( I wish they came in white... so maybe I'll find a similar pair. The second pair I also saw in Dillards but I think the pink was too redish or something for my theme. The 3rd are just crazy in case I decide to go bling bling on the shoes. I LOVE the flowered ones, but I heard they're very expensive! Just found the hot pink ones on theknot and I LOVE them!!!! They look like the perfect shade of pink and sooo cute! I'll def look into these!! |

In love with another...
So I thought that I was set on Maggie's Sabelle, but since we pushed the wedding back I haven't even tried it on yet. But, I came across this new dress in a magazine last night and checked it out and I LOVE IT!!!!
It's Simone Carvalli style 7135. I've never heard of this designer, so I have no idea about price and whatnot. There's almost no places within hours of here that carry them, so hopefully I can come across this dress somehow. What do you ladies think? This or Sabelle?? I guess I have to try both on to decide. Also has anyone bought or tried on Simone Carvallis??? |

wont leave me aloneeee!!
I swear every week while I'm at work they call me and leave voicemails!! I even answered once like a month ago and told them I was totally not sure, but I would def. call to make an apt if I wanted to look again. We actually pushed the wedding back by almost a year, so 1. I'm totally not ready to get a dress yet, and 2. now that I've tried on Maggie's and other designer gowns, I really don't think I want anything to do with DB or Alfred Angelo. If I liked one of your dresses that much, I wouldn't forget about it, trust me... I don't need reminded!!!
Like, do they really need to call THAT much?!?! I understand they want a sale, but your constant badgering kind of turns me off!! Anyone else have this constant calling?? I hope I can answer next time and tell them I already got my dress so they'll stop calling! |

Flowers for damask w/ pink???
Does anyone with black and white with hot pink have any ideas or suggestions for flowers?? I know I have awhile before even looking for florists, but I'm starting to wonder what kind of flowers would look good for me and the bridesmaids?? I really like the bright multicolored bouquets but I know it would clash with everything else. So what did/are you guys doing?? I'm thinking either all hot pink roses like the first pic with a damask ribbon, a mix of white and pink like the ones on the homepage above, or all white. I'd like to see what other people did though before I decide.
Also, if I do hot pink, should I have the BMs carry white?? I couldn't find the pic, but I just saw one on here of these white flowers with black middles. That may be kind of cool for the BMs. I just added a BM option with white and black flowers. Damask ribbon would look great with these... or maybe even pink ribbon if it matches the dresses. |

Okay, I know this looks HORRIBLE, but it gives you an idea. I just colored it in paint, and I'm SO not good at that stuff. But I love this cake, so I want it with some hot pink!! What do you girls think???
I kinda like the other one too, with hot pink roses. Oh, and the fun cake is what I want at my shower!! |

I THINK I FOUND IT!!!
Okay, so my mom and I really loved this dress when we saw it in some of the bridal magazines. It's Maggie SaBelle. I kind of forgot about it for a little while... and just looked at it again the other day. Then I browsed around on google to see if I could find any "real" brides wearing the dress and I found lots!!! They all looked SO beautiful in it!!
Problem is... I haven't tried it on! No place I've been to yet had it. So I'm going to call around all the places that carry Maggie within an hour or two and see if they carry it. If not, I'm going to pay the $50 to get the sample dress in and then if I order it, that money goes toward the dress. I'm almost POSITIVE this is my dress. It's everything I've been looking for in one dress!! Anyone else have this dress?!? I'd love to see pics of it on real girls! |

Wedding Dress
2nd trip...
Well my mom and I went dress shopping again today to smaller botiques. I had trouble getting into a lot of the ones I liked because they were so small, but I actually found a lot more that I liked today than last time. As I thought I would, I fell in love with Maggie Sottero's dresses. Neither place had the ones I LOVE online, but they still had good options. Let me know what you think. Also check my other post and tell me which ones you like the best... I need all the suggestions I can get because I'm stuck between like 4 at the moment! Keep in mind though, they are ALL at least 3 sizes too small... so they would fall better, but this is the best we could do for now! Can't wait to lose this weight!
Oh yeah, blurped faces just in case anyone I know comes across this. :) Pic 1- Maggie Sottero Samatha. It's not something I would have looked at online, but it was probably the most slimming one I tried on. Pic 2- I LOVE the flower on this one, but I'm not sure about the top. The ladies said that a sweetheard neckline was better on me, so if I decide on this one we would get it made into a sweetheart. Pic 3- Felt like a princess but not sure if I love it. Pic 4 and 5 I like about the same. Soo let me know what you guys think! |

Found dresses!!!
So, we LOVE this dress/sash/shoe combo and will probably end up with it. I just now saw another one I liked in the DB catalog, so we may go back and try it on... but I definitely love this one and so did my MOH. I've been looking at this pink dress from the begining and it looked cute on, and I think it will flatter all of them. We tied in the black sash and shoes to match my colors... but we're going to see how a damask sash would look just for the MOH to be different.
