ive always loved the look of the channel set and i looked forever for a wedding band that i liked that sat at the right height with my engagement ring so when i found this one i knew that i had to have it. i had always wanted something a little different.

my first major purchase

my wedding dress was my first major purchase. and i just love it!

fh and i were engaged in september 08 and i went dress shopping april 09. this was actually the first wedding dress i had ever put on. i tried on a bunch more - allowing my friends to pick most of them out for me - i am the most indecisive person i know but i knew, no question, when i put this dress on, it was the one for me. i left the store without ordering it but on cloud nine just knowing that i had found the dress i would be marrying the love of my life in.

fast forward to jan 10 (still hadnt ordered my dress) i was on my local online classifieds site looking around one afternoon for nothing in particular - to this day i still dont know what posessed me but i started looking at the wedding dresses and i found my dress, in ivory, in my size, brand new (with tags on), half price, 5 mins from my house ... what are the odds? how lucky am i???

my engagement ring

my fiance and i were engaged very quickly after we started dating. we just knew right away ... since we had only been dating for a short time we decided to wait two years to be married ... and here we are two years later, still madly in love <3 and still planning our wedding :)

so much has come up over the last two years but it has definitely made us much stronger and positive that we are meant for eachother.

i couldnt stay away from wbc

so heres the story ... my fiance and i have been engaged for 2 years now and we had originally planned to be married august 14 2010. we postponed our wedding for financial reasons (which i was extremely upset about at the time - but ultimately was the right choice for us) and we figured it would be at least 3 years before we would be able to afford the wedding that we both wanted to have.

i found wbc last year and really enjoyed being a part of the community and it made the planning less stressful and much more exciting. prior to postponing the wedding we had made some major purchases and decisions but when everything was put on hold i decided to delete my profile because i felt silly being on a wedding website when i quite possibly wasnt getting married for 3 yrs ... the first couple of weeks i stayed away because it was just too upsetting for me but eventually i found myself coming back every few days and looking around again lol i just couldnt stay away from wbc. you ladies are such a great support system and have so many great ideas ... im so happy to be back :)
