Wedding Dress
Perfect!
I went to David's Bridal on 2-28-11 and didn't really think I would find anything. I had a couple dresses that I wanted to try on that I saw online. The people were very helpful and I tried on the first one that I thought I would really like and I hated it. I didn't want strapless but the lady brought me one and said they can add on straps but when I tried it on I actually really liked the style without. I just didn't like the dress. My mom went out was browsed and handed the lady a dress for me to try on. She brought it in and showed it to me and I was like no I don't think I will like it but I put it on to humor my mom. I walked out and everyone started crying and when I saw myself in it I knew it was the one. She grabbed veils for me and a nice hair piece we walked out that night with my perfect dress. I didn't get any pictures with me in it but here's a picture of it in the catalog. However it doesn't do the dress justice at all.

Ring Pillows
I don't know if anyone would be interested in this but I went to the Dollar Tree and got the petals for the flower girl and I got two ring pillows for the boys. I have been looking for ring pillows for awhile now but don't wanna spend $30 (average) for a pillow that I am going to decorate myself. I was actually going to make them but when I found them there I grabbed two. They aren't pretty by any means but perfect for me cause I'm decorating them anyways and if I mess up it's only a buck and I can get a new one!

I was watching the tv show My Fair Wedding on WE and there was a couple who was having a casino wedding. I saw their cake and I fell in love with most of it. There's some things I would wanna change but here's a pic of their cake that I really like.

I don't know why photographers cost so much but luckily for me my grandpa has started taking up photography since his retirement and he agreed to do my wedding. I just have to pay for photo paper. He also has a really great printer and lots of ink!

Wedding Reception
Ceremony & Reception
We're having the ceremony and reception at The Wright Place in Norwalk, Iowa. We did want to have the reception at The Stoney Creek Inn. When we went for appointment to see the place in person (since we had only seen pictures) and we got there and the lady was like the space is being rented today so I can't show you the room but I can show you pictures. Really? I thought to myself. Then she was going to show us the rooms that we would stay in and they were all being used or weren't cleaned up from the guests. They lady didn't even bother to call to try to reschedule. Total waste of my time. The Raccoon River Lodge was next on the list. It was very hard to try to set up a time with them to see the space but we did and I really liked it. The only problem was there wasn't very much space to get dressed and ready. So I went the Wright Place and the ladies there were so nice. It's very good price and they are very spacious. We decided to just do the wedding and reception there. They have a full kitchen and my grandpa is going to do the catering. He does bbq and stuff like that.

Bridal Show
Wow
I didn't realize how much there was until I went to the Bridal Fair. In fact, there were two that day and I went to both but I am glad I did because tons of vendors were able to get my email to send me offers which made it helpful to pick and choose. By the way don't ever go to the Royal Prestige booth cause they will call you for a prize you won and just go to this showing of a culinary experience. I thought they were caterers and we showed up and they were trying to sell overpriced pots and pans and china and knifes. It was stupid.

The Proposal
So Cute!
So we had just gotten home from the casino with my soon to be father in law in December right before Christmas. I got into my pj's and was trying to find something on the tv when David started playing on the computer and starting playing our song. He started telling me how much he loved me and that he couldn't imagine life without me. I thought he was just being the sweetie he usually was and then he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. We both started crying and of course I said yes.
