DIY - Cake table letters

I went to Michaels Craft store & bought the styrofoam letters for the cake table, I was going to do the "I do" thing, but I decided to go with what will be OUR last name. I also bought waterbased white tacky glue & crystal glitter. I painted the letters magenta & let them dry for 2 hours. After they dried I loved them in glue and covered them in the crystal glitter! *the first picture of the final after the glue finished drying, sorry the picture is so small, I will update that tomorrow. The second picture was taken before all the glue dried [reason the last S looks horrible! lol] Comments welcome!! :)

I got the picture frame card box from someone on here, and I can't remember who it was [sorry about that!!!] I loved the idea, so I decided to run with it! I took a trip to Michaels craft store & bought 4 picture frames [$3.99 each] & a piece of board [I forget what it's called], after that I went to Ace Hardware & bought 2 packs of "L" shaped brackets & some screws. I was very simple to make the box. After putting it together I painted the frames orange & went to Wal-Mart while the 1st coat of paint was drying to buy magenta colored fabric for the top of the box. I just put the second coating of orange paint on the frames :) Tomorrow I will be breakin' out my lettering stencils & magenta paint & writing a word on each frame such as "love", "faithful" etc. and on one of the frames our wedding date. I haven't figured out what else I'm doing on the frame. I will possibly get some fake gerbera daisy flowers and glue them on... maybe? I really don't know yet, but this is where I'm at so far! Opinions are welcome!! :) *The 1st two pictures are after the 1st coat of paint & the 2nd two are after the 2nd coat of paint. *Also I haven't added our pictures in the frame, as you can see :P

I went tonight to buy these glass heart shaped tealight candle holders [[24 of them to put on the tables. I will be take a picture of the finished look within the next week, as I am moving this weekend & need to get settled. I bought 24 of them for $11.50 =] I'm also trying to find magenta colored tealight candles, scented or unscented, doesn't really matter, but I also don't want to spend a fortune on them. Anyone have any ideas on where to look? =]

Well, It's been quite some time since I have been able to update anything on here as I have had a rough month. - In the last month I have been pregnant, had bleeding & cramping, was put on STRICT bedrest, then I was told I may just be having a miscarriage, then had a couple ultrasounds done and it was determined I was having an ectopic pregnancy. , I was then givin' an injection of a medicine called " Methotrexate " to stop the growth of the embryo, it took almost 2 weeks to get rid of everything I had left inside my tube. I had to get blood work done a few times to check on my liver, as this medicine could effect the liver. Getting this injection ables me to have another chance to have a baby, rather than have removing my tube, and cutting my chances down very slim to none. I went for 4 weeks ever other day for blood work & ultrasounds This experiance has been the 2nd most painful thing I've ever gone through in my life, mentally & physically! - Also, in this hard time, I had to go to my 1st dress fitting & had to do a hair trial. Dress fitting went very well, just had to get the bottom himed as I am only 5'2 & needless to say it was way too long! LOL I go September 5th for the second fitting. I can not wait!! I will have updated pictures from that, that day. - Hair trial run also went very well & I was only charged $45! I originally had my trial run book through someone else, but they were going to charge me $165.. I thought it was ridiculous, so I went with someone else! I am completely happy with the chosin style. I did not get pictures, as I was in FL [[I live in GA & forgot my camera! GOSH!!! I must be crazy!!! I wish I could have gotten pictures, I think I will be making a trip back to Florida to do another run, on the same style just to get some pictures! - My FH and I will be moving back to FL next weekend [[August 29th-30th, thank God because I will feel so much more at ease about being able to get the rest of the wedding stuff finished! As the wedding is taking place in FL. There is only 56 days left and I am getting more and more nervous by the day! - OH!!! Also my bridal shower is coming up [[September 6th I am COMPLETELY excited, I can not wait to FINALLY get to relax and enjoy myself! I will update more as things come to mind!! Sorry for the long post & sorry for being so out of date with everything on my page. I am back and ready to get the ball moving again! =]~ Take care!!

- I have updated a picture of what I have finished so far for the candy buffet table wording "LOVE IS" all I have left to finish is putting on rhinestons on the word "SWEET" & putting 1 more coat of paint on the letters- I should be finished by the end of this week & will update then as well! - Also I have added a couple new pics in the ring section, I have changed & made a final decision on my ring, and will be ordering it in 3 weeks, due to money situations!

Well Saturday I had my honey come with me to Michaels Craft store to get the wooden letters, rhinestones, paint & ribbon so that I could start my first DIY! I bought a can of pink spray paint, painted all the letters pink & let them dry over night. I then started to rhinestone around the edges of the letters, 1 little rhinestone at a time!! WHEW!! so far I have 4 letters done! LOL This DIY takes a lot of time and patience! I will post a couple pictures that I have taken so far, but beware they look weird in color because they still had dry glue on them so it looks like they are discolored! Eventually, when I'm finished it will spell out "Love Is Sweet" Anyway, let me know what you think! =) Also, I can't figure out if I should do anything else with them!?! Any suggestions?

YUMM!!! So I decided today we're also doing a candy buffet. So I checked out "www.candywarehouse.com" and found some yummy candy! I have a total of 10 candys, 5 orange things and 5 pink things! I have gone through style after style and ended up coming back to this style each time. I really dig this style! I have a question about it though.. I purchased a finger lengthed veil when I purchased my dress, should I use the veil or not use the veil?? I'm not sure if it would look right with the style. HELP!!!

FHs father sings in a "doo wop" band & they have offered to sing as many songs as we want them to at the wedding.. all for free. We have only mentioned a couple songs for them, as we want them to be able to sit down and enjoy themselves as well! =] This is only a very small amount of the music I have picked, just some of my favorties! =] ♥UPDATE♥ We have chosen "Tina Arena & Marc Anthony - I want to spend my lifetime loving you" for our first dance!

It has taken us SO long to decide on the final cake. We have went back and forth so many times This is the final cake. =] Top layer will be Chocolate Amaretto, middle layer will be cheesecake & bottom will be Cherry Swirl ! YuMmY! FH hates regular cake, so our baker said he could put cheesecake in there if we wanted. Yay! =]

♥ UPDATE ♥ Cake is ordered & the flavors are as follows: Tiramisu, Cheesecake, & Strawberry Swirl! mMmMmm Also the flowers on the cake will be real fresh flowers!

I am switching from the engagement ring I have now to this whole bridal set. We haven't ordered our rings yet, but we are going next week to do so & I am SOOOO completely excited about doing so, I can't not wait to wear it forever!!! I first seen this ring online & absolutely hated the way it looked, We then went into the store to look at rings, I seen this one & fell in love!! I was amazed how differently it looks in stores then online. It shines so much & I love it!! Now I can't stop looking at it online, and everytime I get in my car I wanna drive to the jewelers just to go wear it for a few minutes!! lol I'm a dork... I know! =P

Flowers - gerbera daisies

I kept going back and forth from roses & gerbera daises, but... I have finally settled on the gerbera daises! Pink & orange of coarse! [Just like photo] =] Monday [5/5/08] we are going to order all the flowers. I found an awesome local wholesale flower store, who has very good prices! A friend of my family is doing all the bouquets/corsages/boutonnieres... for free! WOOHOO!

I am having a live fish centerpiece and i can NOT figure out if i should put anything else on the table ex: candles, etc!?!? i dont want it to look like there is too much stuff on the table. The picture I posted is the same bowl I am using [minus everything inside, just showing the bowl i am using]. I am filling the bottom of the bowl about an inch thick with glass rocks & the rest with water & obviously a fishy :] ANY IDEAS!?!?! :]

♥ Update ♥ We will have this bowl filled about an inch thick on the bottom with clear glass rocks, there will be a gold fish swimmin' around & will have 1 gerbera daisy in each fish bowl.. we'll have 3 heart shaped tealite candle holders around the fishy bowl & will have pink & orange glass rocks laying on the table around the bowls.

I found my dress today!!!! I LOOOOOOOOOOVE it so much!! I tried on sooo many dresses, and as SOON as I looked at myself in the mirror with this on today, I fell in love! I will have pictures of myself in the dress very soon :] I also have a picture there of the veil & shoes I got :]
