Ask a Question
Bridesmaid shoes - heel or no heel?

I am a 5'2" bride who is having two bridesmaids in my wedding - both of them taller than me. One of them is 5'11" so she already towers over me! I'm not super comfortable in really high heels, but I know I'll have some heel in whatever shoe I choose.

My question is, what kind of shoes do you recommend for my bridesmaids that are nice but don't have a lot of heel to them? I'd prefer them not to wear flip-flops or anything that's really casual.

Got any suggestions?

I'm a 5'2 bride as well, and i've looked around at flats because 3 of the 4 bridesmaids i have are fairly tall.. but i wanted everyone to wear the same shoe.. but i personally dont think flats are fantsy enough.. so we picked out these shoes from Aldo..

They dont have a very big heal at all... they are approx. half your pinky finger high..

p.s:My wedding is purple too !

There are plenty of dressy flats, you just have to look for them a little bit harder. For instance, here are some thong sandals with rhinestone fireflies on them (quite classy):

Or metallic open toed kitten heals work well too. They're classic and simple.

And there's also the option of dressed up ballet flats. These are completely flat, and slightly more casual, but they're still dressy.

I will allow taller BM's to wear a very very small heel but nothing over 1 inch. I do have some shorter BM's and they can wear a taller heel if they want to. I am also having my tallest BM stand on the bottom step lol

I am having the same problem...I am 5'2 and my FH is 6'2 so I will def. be in heels.  The problems comes with my bridesmaids. My sister is my height and has to wear heels but my other three are really tall.. The dresses are short so I want them all in the same shoe, but to tall will look funny, and flats and sandals that i have seen are just not dressy enough!..and frankly I am sick of looking for shoes :)-
