Here are my favorite picks for the boys! My fiance is going to wear just black and white however the groomsmen and ushers will wear all black with silver!

This dress is so sweet and it will match the other girls so well. She will have a purple sash to match!

So i found my wedding shoes! They are so wonderful.
I got them at good old Wal Mart in the little girls section! They are dark purple ballet flats that will match the girls' dresses perfectly. Oh and they were a whole $7. You cant beat that and they will for sure be comfy all day long!
Not to mention that flats are my signature shoe. My family and fiance hate my flats but they are so comfy. I am short and over the years I have learned to go with it. Plus I didnt want anything that had an open toe since there most likely will be snow on the ground on our wedding day!

Mine are similar to the ones here but they have a cute little strap that goes over the top of my foot.

Okay here is the deal. I am not a huge cake fan and when I eat cake I really only like white cake...the problem. My FH loves chocolate cake.
So the compromise... cookies. Who doesn't like a good old sugar cookie? I think that it is a little less traditional and yet they are still so fun! Cookies are enjoyed by everyone from 2 to 102!

They will be square sugar cookies with white icing... and the quirky twist is that they will have a fondant cut out of a turtle on the top.
I gave my fiance the nickname turtle a long time ago and it is our thing. He is an infantryman in the military and I have always told him that if he pulls all of his vulnerable parts into his shell he will always come back home to me safely. It also comes from the fact that he is such a hard ass around everyone but he melts when he is around me so I told him that he has a hard shell on the outside but his insides are still squishy just like a turtle.

Since we have a little vintage theme going on and both of my girls are young (under the age of 18) they could totally pull these off and they will complement my feather hairpiece nicely as well! Plus they are they right price to make a gift out of them!

I have already purchased my dress however I will not be posting it because I have a very inquisitive fiance and he will do anything he can to try to sneak a peak at my dress. You can get a feel for the style however by looking at my girls' options. So let me know which style you like best and what you think...

Keep in mind that they would end up being a deep purple like option one no matter which style they end up being.

I am a wedding/portrait photographer/assistant and a bride that we photographed recently wore a birdcage veil and I thought...that is exactly what I need. At first I was sure that I wasnt going to wear a veil at all but I love the way these look. They are classic elegant and a bit sassy...just like me!

Okay so here is the deal... I absolutely loved my first ring but we were having such a difficult time shopping for a wedding band that would work with my solitare. I love the four prong style however they angled out too far to find a band that would lay flush with the rest of the ring. There was always a gap in between the two rings and the problem wasnt going to be able to be fixed even if we sodered the two together. So... the solution was to put my gorgeous diamond in a new setting all together that could have a band made or laready had one. My fiancee and I found one similar to this one and fell in love. The cool part is that the jeweler only makes custom designs so I am the only one to have this specific ring. The detail that they put on it is simply amazing!

Like I said in my previous post Derrick and I work together. The hospital is about two blocks from this park and we would often hang out at this park after work to talk and relax. Okay I am going to add in details that I didnt find out until after he proposed! Derrick told me that it was supposed to happen on Thursday, but the jewelry store caled him that morning and told him that his ring was not going to be in until 10:30 on Friday morning.(we both had thursday off) So he patiently waited for Friday morning to come around. I woke up that morning and got in the shower. As I was in the shower the jewelry store called him and said that the ring was stuck in Des. Moines and wouldnt arrive until Saturday. The lady that was speaking to him on the phone was close to if not in tears he said and asked if there was anything that she could do. Derrick told her that he understood and that it was fine (he was secretly getting really upset at this point!) When I got out of the shower he told me that he was going to eat with some friends.(turns out his his friends are my father) He said that as soon as he got in the car his phone rang again and it was the manager of the jewelry store calling to tell him that she was on her way to personaly get his ring from DM. However he knew that he had to work that night so he wasnt sure if he would be able to get it anyways. She didnt make it back until after he had to go into work but she called and told him that she was bringing it to him at work in waverly. As soon as she got the ring to him he told work that he was going on break. He called me and told me to drive to waverly (about a 15min. drive). I really didnt want to get up and do anything but I got ready to leave. As I was leaving I got a text that said dont forget gas. So I was like great I have to get gas too what next. As I was pumping my gas I got another text that read are you almost here? I sent one back saying that I was getting gas. He texted back telling me to take HWY 218 (there are two equally as fast ways to get there) I was off. Then I get another message that said to text him when I was taking the turn in Janesville. I got to the turn and texed him. He quickly responded instructing me to call when I entered Waverly. I was getting really annoyed because I knew how to get to Waverly myself! When I called he gae me street after street to turn on until finally he was standing in the middle of the road waiting for me. I parked my car and looked around and I was only a block away from the hospital. He told me that he wasnt having a very good day and he wanted to talk. This way I didnt suspect anything because we were at our usual talking spot. (Which lso happens to be where we shared our first kiss!) We walked down to the park. He kept saying really sweet tings about me and our relationship and he walked up to our normal spot. We talked for a little while until he told me to stand up. He kept trying to grab for my hands and I started to suspect that something was going on. Then he did the whole try to be sneaky about pulling the ring box out of his back pocket thing. While he was doing that I lost it because at that moment I knew! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him as the sun was setting behind him! I said YES! We were on a tight time schedule so we got in the car and went to my parents to break the news. (they only live 5 min. from the park) They of course already knew along with his prents and my biological father! It was so sweet and thoughtful just like I had always imagined it!
