Nightmare!!!
A week before.....
So I get a call from my wedding planner last night at around 10pm. She tells me that the country club called her and told her that they were going to be putting up a tent on the terrace that would be there from Wednesday to Wednesday. MY CEREMONY IS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE TERRACE. I mean are you kidding. An outdoor ceremony with a tent. Not going to work for me. And why are the calling the planner and not me?? Trying to get her to convince me that the tent will be okay. That just defeats the whole purpose of having it OUTSIDE. The girl is supposed to call me this morning but she better have an alternate plan or this conversation is not going to go well at all. And the girl is telling my planner she just found out about it. I mean that is not a last minute detail someone just throws in!! I can't wait for her to call me. I'll keep you posted!

So we FINALLY got our pictures back!! I was kinda worried because it was hot that day and my hair fell so I just knew it was going to look a mess. It doesnt look like it did when I left home but it wasn't too bad. So here our a few pictures, most of them my FH's eyes were half closed because the sun was in his eyes. Only 30 days to go!!
WOW!!! I can't believe how fast the time is passing. I'm so excited and nervous. I just celebrated my b-day on Friday and spent it in Atlanta with some friends (my last vacay as a single lady)!! Now we started house-hunting and everything just seems to be happening so fast. Can't wait until the big day but now I've really have to hop to it with these DIY projects, LOL!!!

My Dream Dress
When I first got engaged, my mom was adamant that her friend make my dress. She kept going on and on about what a great seamstress she was and how she wanted to make my dress sooo bad! Me being a very intelligent and SANE person didnt think this was such a great idea. LOL! I mean your wedding dress is not something that can just be alright, you know? So to please my mom I decided to go ahead and give this lady a try. I went over to her house to get measured and saw this complete sewing studio. She had all of these different types of sewing machines, this big counter like the ones in Hancocks to measure and cut the fabric, I mean the works. She had the whole sewing lingo and everything so I was sold. So then I went back a few weeks later and she had the dress cut out of some kind of lining. I tried it on to make sure it was the right size and it was sooo cute. I mean this is not even part of the dress you see and it looked good on me. So to make a long story short after about a month or so the dress was finally done. There was still something about it that just didnt seem right about it to me but she was like all the kinks will straighten out after the dress is pressed. So I'm already in a rush to take my Bridal portraits so the picture will be ready before the wedding. So I didnt have any time between when the dress was ready to be picked up from the cleaners and the sesssion. Well having the dress pressed did not fix the dress. The tucks were going every which way and it just did not look right. I had to take the pictures in it anyway so hopefully you won't really be able to tell. My mom decided to try to fix the dress but needless to say it could not be saved. My mom refused to let me wear it for the wedding so we went to David's Bridal Saturday morning and bought the dress you see in the picture. It is absolutely perfect and didnt need any alternations besides a bustle. Praise God!! I guess everything does happen for a reason. I am so happy now and thankful my mom didnt let me settle for a sub-par wedding dress.

It's Getting Close!!!
2 months to go!!!
The time is really winding down and I'm getting nervous. Just worried that I'm not going to get all my projects done. I still have my card box and cupcake stand to do. I have to print and cut the programs. My FH has to fold the invitations (but we still have plenty of time for that). That's his only project so I'm not worried. Any of your FH's playing a bigger role in the wedding planning?? What kind of stuff do you have them helping you with?? I told Mack that I didn't want to get mad at him so I didn't need his help. LOL. But I have to get some sleep so I can do more DIY!!!
