For those brides on a budget:
One of the great ways I'm saving money-
Since we are paying for our wedding ourselves- like i previously said---- we are always looking to save money.
One way is finding vendors that are not yet well sought after... My florist, my photographer and my officiant are all compliaments of WWW.Craigslist.com They have a services section and one specifically for events. These is somewhat of a gamble, I know. But after meeting with them I decided that it was a great way to save money. And I thought it would be more personable seeing as they dont have as much to do. |

Wedding Flowers
Met with our florist today!!
I wanted to decide on a florist and meet with her about a year before our wedding that way it would be easier to see what is in season and more cost effective... Heres what we decided FOR SURE...
Carnation Pomander balls on the pews of the ceremony Heavily decorated Arch around ceremony Rose petals lining the isle runner 6 in bouquets for my bridesmaids- more than likely also carnations with bouquet jewlery added. Hot pink flowers with a brown ribbon... Matching bouts for the guys colorwise- but made out of roses. mini roses for our ring bearer... What I refer to as a "BED OF FLOWERS" for our seating charts.. a 2 foot by 2 foot about 4 inch high "box" filled with carnation heads with "tents" of our guests names and their table numbers... Lots and LOTS of rose petals for our cake table. And for my bouquet- I REALLY REALLY LOVED the anemones... soo we are still deciding what it will take to get them for my day... and as long as its not like 300$ for it I am going to go ahead and go with it!! If it is not possible then more than likely it will be peonies... eh... a lesser of the amazing anemone but still a gorgeous flower :) Well ladies.. i think I got everything covered there- let me know what you think... |

dresses: which do you like better?
Ive found a lot of really great dresses but Im having a hard time choosing. Mostly because one of my bridesmaids in younger- about 15..... So I want to keep it somewhat flattering to different body shapes and developments but I really want the uniform of the same dresses throughout the entire wedding party. I ALSO want to keep it very modest (mostly for the same reason) but cant help but fall in love with this particular style dress.
So, my question is, ladies, should I go for the dream dresses I love for them? Or should I look for something a little more apporpriate for all bridesmaids?? Not that they wouldnt look great on everyone... .but IDK im just second guessing myself... Let me know what you think and your opinions. Are any of you having younger bridesmaid? If so, what type of dress are you deciding on? |

Wedding Invitation
DIY
SO, this might sound incredibly cheap- BUT FH and I are paying for almost the entire wedding ourselves- so saving a little money here and there is definately worth it.... regardless.
I ordered a free sample of an invite i fell in love with.i started a pic document and ended up playing with it for a while and needless to say- i got my dream invitiations!! And instead of paying like 450.00$ for them- i am DIY-ing them and they are costing me literally 17.00$. CRAZY!! My printer will more than likely need ink afterwards- but the 15 BUCKS on ink is well worth saving the 400!! |

Ask a Question
::Contemplating color changes::
So, the more I look at things the more I begin to question my color scheme. There are so many options! I know that I want something bold and different but I am thinking maybe a brighter color opposed to the black might make a bigger statement. I am considering changing to hot pink with a BRIGHT orange!! Talk about bold! There are really gorgeous tropical orange flowers and I think it would be beautiful for a summer wedding!! Let me know what you guys think! Too bold? Or breathtaking?!

Wedding Cake
love the flowers!
This cake table it to die for! I would love to do this but with hot pink flowers! I think the rose petals with the "I DO" letters and the candles are a perfect combination and its very romantic!
On the otherhand- the black and pink one is super freaking cute and I cant decide! Help ladies?! ***UPDATE**** We decided on the design of our cake!! It is going to be three tiers- and on the cake will have every guests name written in on it (in a pipping manor).... More than likely a white traditional cake- with either ivory or chocolate pipping- we havent decided on the color yet. but it is going to look AMAZING!! Included with that- we decided on the red rose petal cake table- only with pink rose petals!! |

These dresses are so ADORABLE!
OKAY LADIES-
Okay- so I totally am in LOVE with these dresses! (not to mention the picture!) But I would love dresses like this with a different shoe and maybe without the pink pearls.... I think these dresses would work perfect with different accents to include the "antique" feel that I'm looking for! Yay! Love the pink shoes- not the style though! Ah.... so many options! |
