Hi Ladies - I was wondering if anyone sent out Newsletters to their guests before the big day to give everyone an idea of the agenda? I know some girls send them out the their bridal attendants to keep them all in the know. Here is my situation....

Fh and I are having a destination wedding so we sent our invites out 8 months in advance to give those who wanted to attend time to purchase tickets. We will be returning back to the states for a reception for those that can not make it (which is the majority of people). I want to send out little reminders now that we are only two months from the reception date and thought Newsletters would be a cute idea. In them I want to give accomdation recomandations, directions, an idea of what food and beverages will be served and any helpful tips and most importantly, remind them all to RSVP since it has been a while since they have received the initial invitation.

So I guess Im trying to get ideas of how others went about creating a newsletters and helpful layouts or If you've done one, feel free to share a picture or post a helpful website.

TIA!

Heather

FH Wedding Band - 4mm 18ct yellow gold band.
He just wanted a traditional plain gold band. Everyone kept telling us we had to match. I think thats bull. I got what I wanted and why shouldn't he? Plus, his band was SO cheap compared to mine! No complaints here.

Im getting married THIS month in St Lucia at the Sandals Regency La Toc Resort. We knew we wanted to get married in the tropics but felt that no one would go if we did. We weighed out our options and decided thats what we wanted and we were ok with the fact that it may be just us. The reason I picked Sandals is because if you stay for 6 nights or more in a concierge level suite or higher, the wedding is free! We didnt want to sink too much money into this so we thought that would be perfect. We are getting an amazing (hopefully) wedding/honeymoon for the price of just the honeymoon. Granite the rooms are not cheap, we paid $4,200 for 7 nights in a suite that comes with a butler to tend to your needs all week and thats NOT including airfair but almost EVERYTHING else is included. FH and I are big drinkers :) so to have all your meals and top shelf liquor all included in that rate meant a lot to us. Plus all the watersports are included too. It just made sense to us to go this route and much to our amazement, we have ten other family member attending the wedding so it really is going to be a perfect day for us. When we return, we have planned a welcome home casual backyard BBQ for all that could not attend. We are a very laid back fun couple so we didnt want the formalness of your average wedding and reception. Ill let you know all about how I actually went when I get back!

As you can see I pretty much like one certain style of cake but I think this first one in Red is just so beautiful. I am very fortunate, my FSIL is extremely talented and has taken cake baking and decorating classes and will be saving me major $$$ by baking my cake. I know its risky but I've seen her work and put 100% trust in what she can do.

I am undecided when it comes to a veil or not but more leaning towards not. this is going to be a beach wedding and I was thinking more casual...like a flower in my hair.

I absolutely LOVE this dress and when I tried it on, I knew I was destined to wear it. Every dress I tried on after that just could not match up. I initially tried it on at Macy's on 34th St in NYC. The price tag was $1350 with 9% sales tax. Since I travel South often I decided to purcase the dress in Delaware where there is no sales tax. I ended up getting a quote for $870!!!! Im going to pick it up this weekend 6/14/08!! Ill post a picture of what it looks like once I get it.

Added a couple teaser pics. I will post more wedding pics later. The dress looked AMAZING!
