This is oreilly92's Blue Wedding!

Hey Everyone!This has been a good week wedding-wise for me!After my last blog of having the blahs for a bit...I decided to jump right back in with two feet! I have some new updated information!Thanks for listening!

*First of all,last week they finally got my wedding bands in and they are safely tucked away in a tote box just waiting to be worn!! The jewelry sales lady informed me to bring them back a week before the wedding to have them polished free of charge!But will I want to part with them???hmmmm......

*Next,I made three trips to Michael's craft store this past week and a half! The first time around I spent 171.00 getting odds and ends like my wooden letters for my cake table,my card box,more flowers for the reception,spray paint and all the such! Next trip I had a grand total of over 300.00 but lady luck was with me and they had a bonus coupon that day until 1pm and that saved me 60 dollars! I was so excited!Anyway,that trip I got the picture signing mat for the reception,tulle for decorating....more paint,crafters foam,all the four flower baskets,the ring bearer pillow etc,etc,etc.....The third trip was a little better and just came to 87.00 .....I made a smart purchase and got the easel to stand our 11x14 wedding picture on at the reception.

*But today was the icing on the cake(no pun intended!)when I GOT MY WEDDING DRESS!!!!!! It was soooo exciting! I had a great shopping experience! The first dress I tried on I really liked,and they just kept getting better and better.....now I am by no means a skinny girl and let me tell you it was easy to find a dress!Mine does need a few alterations but that is fine...AND to top it all off,my sister who was with me also found great dresses for the bridesmaids,all in one day....but keep in mind that the pictures shown here of the red dress will actually be blue when all ordered!Wow!Some exciting stuff.....

*I forgot to mention that I ordered my invitations tonight from the printers!

I have decided to be a very organized person over this whole wedding thing and to try to be as prepared as possible but what I am thinking is that surprises will pop up at the last minute when I don't expect it!!Can anyone think of any things that one may overlook??Any suggestions...I would like to think that I have a lot of things done thus far leading up to the wedding(eleven months!)

This picture does not match my color theme but it serves the purpose to portray the general idea.I think it is a cute idea to really spice up the head table...you can even do an "S" shape weaving back and forth the table to allow for other decorations!

If you will be attending or even throwing a bridal shower...this is a functional decoration/gift! Ideally you should use two bath,hand and face towels.You layer them on top of each other and then fold them length wise and start rolling them until it makes the bottom of the "cake".Secure with choice of colored ribbon.Repeat for each set of towels.Top with your favorite decoration!Once at the party,set up in its designated spot and voila!You have an instant conversation piece!

I am going to try to incorporate these lovely vases into my reception some how....not necessarily for a centerpiece but you never know! I am still in love with the centerpiece pictured in my previous post! I am having trouble deciding!

This piece is also very easy.It is just a glass vase filled with shredded filler and surrounded by that cheap Christmas garland with the attached silvery stars and a hidden battery operated pack of mini lights allowing some to fall outside the vase while you work the remaining lights throughout the flowers!The battery packs has an on/off switch for easy access!

Previously,I had decided to go with the m&m's that you can personalize with your wedding date and names....the problem is that the m&m's seem very costly,plus then I have to find favour boxes to put them in.On a wedding site(yourweddingcompany.com) I found these almonds which you wrap in tulle circles for much cheaper...You get approx 95 almonds for 7.00.Supposedly,if you use five sugared almonds/each favour it symbolizes health,wealth,happiness,fertility and long life????????The best part is that they come in light blue,which is my color! Should I go with my first idea or my second thought???

I never thought it would happen to me but,I am at a stand still! I have made all the phone calls and arrangements that I can up to this point.I have given advice to others that when you get at this point that you can concentrate on smaller things such as decorations but it just gets blah after a bit!What to do????I think because I am moving in two weeks,I can't fully concentrate on wedding things and I really want to have things in place and not be rushing by next summer! I want to be very organized but it doesn't feel like this will happen!Yikes!

I found a great deal on wedding bubbles,I can get 48 for 5.99....I was just wondering if it is too soon to buy them seeing as how my wedding is not for almost a full year.I am just worrying about them drying out.

Update:Got Bubbles today!Went ahead and got them...if they dry out...so what??They are so cheap,I'll just replace them!

These cute reception flowers are easy to make!They are made like the old fashioned tissue flowers with the fan-weave type design,tied by craft wire and then separate all the layers and voila!You can also do a mini version to use for napkin rings!Also shown here.

Ok! Not only is this beautiful,but it is sooo easy to do.You take a large glass vase and put a smaller empty vase into the larger.Then you take a pillar candle(a good heavy one)and put it in the center of the empty vase,giving the illusion that the candle is burning under the water!But what you actually do is add tinted water BETWEEN the two vases!Compliments of Martha Stewart! It is called Fire and Ice.

This little guy is a friend of the family,cute as a button! For his gift we are going to be giving him a black ball hat that says "Ring Bearer" in fancy letters,that way I can ask him to bring it along on the wedding day and get at least one photo of him in his tux,sporting his cute little black hat!A picture of the hat is shown.

David's Bridal has a site that lets you play around with your wedding colors to give you an idea of what your wedding will look like...some of the characters are funny,but your can personalize them to suit your needs...this is what I came up with!

These lovely little ladies are going to honor us with their presence on our wedding day! Pallas in the red,is our daughter and she is going to be walking up first--dressed in white,then the two girls on the left,Eve and Ava are going to be dressed in blue and then my niece Abbott,on the right,is going to be walking up last with the ring bearer and she will be in blue also....I have added a picture of their dresses as well...

I got these arches with lights from Michaels.They were 69.00 canadian but with a coupon I got them for 49.00 taxes in! Now I just need to buy flowers to decorate them with.

Now that we have chosen the m&m s, I have decided on these favor cases to put them in...they will look nice all wrapped in our color ribbons with a personalized tag!

These were given to me.They are very heavy but very shiny! I am going to put half sized candles in them...the more candle light,the better! I tried to go towards the light to take a picture of these!By the way,they are from the Dollarama!

My sister and I were at Michael's a few weeks ago(yes Michael's again!) and we noticed these cute jar candles on sale AND they were in my wedding color!So of course we bought them out! They were 1.50 each! Not sure if they are going on the head table and the guest tables or not...

I like this piece that I have....just pretty and simple!

I am going to be using a unity candle in our Catholic church ceremony.
One of my bridesmaids gave me this candle and it is lovely!

I fell in love with these....they are very elegant.I got this from Michael's craft store.They are 16.99 each but if you use a coupon,they are a very affordable 8.99 !! Anyway,I plan to put a few blue flowers in the top and maybe light it up with a fiber optic spray! I am thinking that I will add them to guest tables.The thing that I like is that they won't allow the flowers to be in peoples faces while they are trying to eat and talk! Maybe a winding vine would look nice circling the stem of the vase!

My bouquets are going to be made of real flowers,but any decorating flowers are going to be silk .Mostly purchased from Michael's craft store.I will go with shades of light blues and also white flowers--maybe different types.Here is a picture of some of the flowers that I love,that may go in my long flute vases on the tables.

I am leaning toward this style.I want my hair piece in the front and then a small veil in the back.

I decided on the prelit wedding arches from Michael's and got a good deal by using their instore coupons. I want the long flute vases for the tables and I have purchased some light blue lilies and then some lighting in each vase.I have some of the glass stones for the tables...I want a balloon arch! Although,old styled....I think it will be beautiful...Lots more decorations to come!

We have been doing some research,but it is hard to decide....more on this later.

A wedding gown????I have an idea what I would like....but as usual,I can't decide.I do know that I really like the halter style neckline...as shown in this picture!

Good news on the gown,my soon to be mother in law is going to pay half on my gown,so now the cost doesn't scare me as much....still didn't bother to shop for that yet.Maybe in the fall...

I have decided to save some time on the invitations,rather than money! I want that part to be painless as possible....I am ordering them from invitations by Dawn.They are very practical....they are all in one,a folding design with the bottom half removable by a perforated line so that the guest can easily find the response card and "I" won't forget to put them in the envelopes while mailing them! I have decided on blue hydrangeas and white roses for my flowers....I have four flower girls,all within the same height range,our three nieces in baby blue and our daughter in white,they will carry baskets.My lovely Maid of Honor,my sister Tammy got us a great deal on Flower girl dresses! 89.00 dresses on sale for 24.00 at Amazon.com and they are so cute!
