I just wanted to say again thanks to Scheri (brown color bride) for her generosity to me. Last night, she gave me a lot of her old wedding items for free!!

I'm so forever grateful for her generosity. She is truly a lovely lady. I'm so glad I finally got to meet her and her new hubby. She's definitely a friend I'll keep!

I have seen many posts from other brides about people coming on this website and creeping on their wedding plans, I just never thought it would happen to me. My FH and I have no exs that would wish bad on us...however, I never realized that even "friends" would spy on my page and tell the goods to my FH.

This is exact person you can find out of from one of Scheri's previous posts! (her biggest wedding mistake)... Apparenty venting on this website, which is a FORUM for future brides (so if you're not one, take a hike!!) is a sin! I've posted some comments that I have deleted now where I have vented and so with that, some ppl have managed to bring others to this page to see what I have said. Its really sad, that as a bride I found it comforting to know that I wasn't going through some stuff alone, and other brides were in the same boat but now that has been taken away from me.

I'm thinking of starting a new profile with no pic or names to still be able to express my thoughts, cause I really feel like I need that. What really upsets me was that I had some surprises posted for my FH and now those surprises are ruined! So thank you very much!! I hope you got a thrill out of it.

I really think WBC needs to limit access to peoples posts. If you're a member you get full access like other blogs but if you don't, you don't get to see the bloggers info...that just seems ideal to me, afterall I really like you ladies but I can do without the creepers!!!

Well I guess that would be considered another vent!!... hmmm, maybe I'll have to delete this post too!!

I began my wedding planning with a major issue. I wanted my best friend to be my maid of honor but I also have a sister who felt that she should be my maid of honor. To add to the drama...my sister and best friend dislike eachother. After lots of tears and tantrums we came to a conclusion that my sister would be my MOH and my best friend one of my bridesmaids. Oh, and there was no way that either would agree to me having 2 MOHs so that was nixed!

I'm glad this is all over now but I still feel a tug at my heart that I should do something more so that my best friend knows how much her being there means to me. I told her that I would get her a slightly bigger bouquet haha and she agreed but I want to do something more.

Any ideas on what I could do??

From what it seems, alot of B2B are trying to shed some pounds before the big day. Although, I'm not a big girl, I too am trying to shed just a few pounds before then. I just started eating healthy and am trying to work out again. I'm starting to feel better, my energy level is up so that's always good. Just need to trim down this little belly that somehow developed when I wasn't looking! LOL!! My goal is to lose 10 pounds!

How many pounds are you trying to lose and how are you trying to do it???

I've just realized that I have a major issue!!...I need to figure out how I'm going to transport my entire wedding party. For most, not a huge issue except ours totals 26 people!! Yes, 26! YIKES! That is 6 bridesmaids and groomsmen, bride and groom, parents, grandparents and flowergirls/ringbearers. We were looking into renting Stretch Ford Excursions but they only hold 16 people. So next idea...rent 2! Except that all the places I checked only have 1 white one, the other is black.

So, the big question is how am I going to do this?? Go with one white and one black or is there another way to transport everyone that I haven't thought of yet?

We're officially a year away from becoming husband and wife! I can't wait. I'm so excited. We're well into our planning and everyone keeps telling me the year is going to fly by...well time will tell! We have our engagement photos coming up and a session with a friend photographer of mine for our table naming idea.

One word (or sound).......YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's our save the date idea...notebooks. I created them with help from my sister. My FH didn't like the idea of magnets or cards so we came up with a notebook that they could keep by the phone to be reminded about our wedding when they use it.

It was really easy to do and I think they turned out great! We only sent it to out of town guests. We didn't see the need to give the guests in town a formal heads up.

I've always imagined that on my wedding day I'd drive up to the church in a white rolls-royce! Now, the time has actually come for me to plan this magnificent day but one problem...I can't find a rolls-royce in Edmonton!!

By any chance, anyone know where I can rent one anywhere around Edmonton or surrounding area?? If not, I may just have to go without it :(

I know we're all trying to make our day look beautiful within a budget, so my question to you is, What is your budget?

I originally wanted our budget to be $25,000 for 350 guests. After checking out catering prices, I realized that wasn't reasonable so i've uped it to $40,000 for the amount of guests we're having.

What is your wedding budget and what are you doing to try to stay within it??

So I thought I was going to have a hard time in the beginning trying to please 6 bridesmaids (3 of which are out of town) so began searching early and sent all of them a few pictures of dresses. They all ended up picking the same one, which really was a miracle! Now all we had to do was go to Calgary (which is 2.5 hrs away) and have the ladies try it on. This was going to happen next month when the other 3 girls were going to be in town. So, yesterday I decided to call down to the bridal shop and make an appt for the ladies to be fitted and happened to ask the price of the dress.... its $360 CDN. I sent an email to the girls and they all think its too pricey. So, now I'm back at square one. The dress was a Jim Hjelm one. Does anyone know of a similar style by another designer that is cheaper? Or perhaps I could always have them custom made.

I was thinking that my fiance and I should go look into getting our wedding bands but he thinks its too soon. The only reason, I thought about it is because my engagement ring is custom made so I need to get a matching band that is also custom made. Besides, he's really picky as far as what he wants. He doesn't want it to have bling but something more simple. I still need to post pictures of my ring but here is a crappy shot of it in the meantime.

Do diamond prices fluctuate like other things like gas?? Or are we ok to wait?? Has anyone bought their rings yet this far in advance??

Now with so many options out there to make up a room, I'm wondering how many people are still using chair covers. What is the preference, chair covers or chivari chairs?

I'm going with Chivari chairs. The ideas of having to set up each chair cover and sash does not appeal to me, and in fact the difference in prices isn't much when you add up the price of the cover and the sash! Bonus is that the hotel will put out the chivari chairs cause they need to put out chairs anyway and that means one thing off my list to do! YAY!!

This little post is to just express just how lucky I am to be with my man!! Tomorrow is my bday and to surprise me, he sent me flowers and a cake today! Not just any flowers though, he sent me orchids (our wedding flowers) and sent in an arrangement in our colours..purple and green! As for the cake, he remembered that I love the Hong Kong bakery cakes, they're just so darn good so he sent me a cake with my name in a heart!

I'm so lucky to be marrying this fantastic man!!

I got a bridal package the other day from one of my best friends and bridesmaids that lives in the States! When I opened the box, I found a bunch of bridal stuff from Victoria Secret. Too cute, question is when do I wear some of this stuff? Either way I'm thrilled to have received it and I still can't believe I'm a bride to be!!!!! YAY!!!

I've had my doubts about inspiration boards. I'm not sure if it really does help someone narrow in on their dream wedding. But don't knock it until you try it, right? So, here it is! Its was hard to pick a good representation of what I love because I'm so picky If anyone has any opinions, let me know. Can you really see what kind of wedding we're hoping to have??

We're having a monogram themed wedding so I designed a few different versions. After reviewing them over, we decided on this one. What do you guys think?

I want to get a letter brooch for each of my bridesmaids (I have 6!) and have searched everywhere. Does anyone know where I can find some. I've tried e-bay but can't find all the letters I need, and am afraid that if I buy what I can find now that the others won't match. Anyone have any ideas?

So, i'm getting a bit frustrated with my mother-in-law. My fiance and I have asked for a rough guest list from her a few times and we still haven't seen anything. Is anyone having the same issue with their mother-in-law? Why is it just so difficult to put a darn pen to a piece of paper? My parents have given us theirs 2 months ago! I think i'm about at my wits end with this one.
