the same thing happened with my FMIL and FH. they are both so bad with remembering to do things, or putting things off. I finally put my foot down and told him to call his mom, and slowly (but surely) go through the family while my FH wrote it down. we had waited a good three weeks until finallyhe had to sit down on the phone with her and painstakingly think of all the names right then and there. it worked, though!! good luck!

find a night when you know she's not swamped. get your fiance to help you in this... go to her house.... bring her flowers.... sit her down... touch her hand and tell her "I'm looking forward to getting that guest list from you so we can get this done once and for all... can I count on you to help us and not leave us hanging?"

if she says no to that, then she'll be to blame when no one in hubbys family gets invited.
