happyeverafter:  I got so many good deals just be researching (and I mean RESEARCHING) to get the best deals.  The invitations we found at a discount store that sells discontinued invitations...and I wasn't too picky because people just throw them out anyhow.  My caterer told me about the linen place that sells their linens for half of what others sell them.  Our friend makes wedding cakes and offered to do ours for our wedding present, the DJ we know.  The caterer has always had great deals for homecooked meals (and he's my bridesmaid's neighbor).  The table runners we went with the different material that gives the same look.

The deals are out there, it just takes a while to find them.  That's kind of why I am happy we have a longer engagement so that we can find the best deals and not get taken on them.  To reward my saving, my FH has agreed to have the hall draped.  I even saved on that too!  It's going to cost $500 vs. $1200 with the company I was going to go with originally.

What company did u find with a limo bus that cheap! My research led me to around 1000 (which is wat we ended up getting) Ours is based in Mckeesport (that was the cheapest I was finding - anything based closer to downtown is outrageous!)

poobear:  well the limo bus originally that I was told was $500 turned out to be $1125!  I'm sorry, but I was a little floored when they gave me 2 quotes WAAY different!  

Another company, TDF, e-mailed me an all-inclusive quote of $775 for I believe 4 hours..which is all we need.  Although it's more than what I would like, it'll do.

It's amazing how a few hundreds here and there add up to thousands fast. Congrats on amazing deals, and on behalf of my FH who is a Steelers fan, Go Steelers (plus he will win $140 in the work pool if, OMG, I meant, when Steelers win, and it will go to our wedding budget, yay :)))).
