I always wondered, how do you buy flip flops for your guests? Even though we're using ours for the sandy beach ceremony for our guests, some of you will be using yours for your receptions and dancing.

How to buy flip flops for your guests? #1 Old Navy has a sale for $1.00 per set once a year, so I will be looking out for those!. 5 pairs are limited per customer so take a friend.

I also found this on a tuturiol site and it helps!

First, buy flip-flops in a variety of sizes.
Most female guests will wear a size 6, 7, 8 or 9. Buy a few in sizes 5 and 10 as well. If a majority of your guests are quite tall, buy more flip-flops in sizes 8, 9 and 10. If a majority of your guests are quite short, buy more flip-flops in sizes 5, 6 and 7.

What about color? You can be super coordinated and find flip-flops in your wedding colors. Or, you could go for a neutral color that your guests would be likely to wear again. Or, you can go super festive and get a variety of flip-flops in all different colors!

Next, find a cute basket to place the flip-flops in. Depending on your guest count, you might even choose to have a basket for each size. This will make it easier for your guests to find a pair.
Decorate
Many brides decorate the flip-flops themselves by tying a cute ribbon around them. You could also add a little note to each pair.
Or, to keep things simple, just put a sign and ribbon on the basket itself. You’ll want to make sure the flip-flops pairs are attached so some sort of ribbon or tie is still necessary.

I totally think I want to do flip-flops. FI will think I'm crazy, but I'm just too detail-oriented for my own good, LOL!

I thinik I'll only be doign flip flops for my BM's to cut down on cost, this darn wedding is already breaking the bank! lol!

I KNOW HUH, ladies! I'm lucky because we are having a small and intimate vow renewals. So 25 pair will not be that bad for $1.00 at Old Navy. LOL Now if we were doing the big one, I wouldn't buy one for each guest, but approx. if the budget allowed 1/4 would be purchased.

Man! We cam across this for the planning process. We actually gave up on the flip flops. Now that is over and done, i wished we did slurge on flip flops for some of the guest. At least our immediate family, like his grandmother and great grandmother. Even would of been useful for some of our wedding party, bcuz some of their shoes had sand and mixture dirt on them from the lake. I honestly didn't think of it? IL: Sorry for the delay in months. LOL Awww, grandmothers are priority when it comes to comfort and joy. Knowing my grandmother would of wanted to keep her shoes on and boogie!

Again, we are lucky it will be a small guest party.

This is a wonderful idea! This is a good chart for guidance on buying for your guest. We had neearly 300+ at ours and we bout 110 pairs of flipflops. they were all used.

for our basket...I bought sizes 7,8,9 and 10 and I have been buying like 5 or 6 pairs at a time. I actually purchased about 8 pair the other day and waiting on them to arrive. They definitely will become a hit as it never fails...every wedding I have ever been to...ends up having so many barefoot women...LOL.

Our flip flops were gone before we even made it to the reception, I bought 50 pair and only had about 80 guests! I found that the 7-8's went really fast. SO I would suggest buying most in that size, only a few size 6's, because everyone can pull off a bigger size flip flop but a smaller size is just flat out uncomfortable. I totally suggest this to EVERYONE, not just my fellow beach brides! Everyone appreciated the fact that they could kick off their shoes and relax in some comfy flip flops that matched the colors of our wedding!
