Been missing for a few days ladies, trying to do some catching up on things. (smile) Especially when WBC was down again, that was such a turn off the other day. I just gave up for a minute! {Went through a WBC WITHDRAWL MOMENT!}
Hubby and I were talking about our special cake topper that we would like to use for our island destination wedding. You know me, I'm not to crazy about this starfishy thing on top of my food. Ive been having some phobias on the smell of starfish lately...LOL!
We decided on getting one of these {5 inch} instead and that way we will be able to use this on the 20th and 25th Anniversary as well. Thinking about using orhids to surround the base of the letter on top of the cake...
Total including shipping was $28.94 for MilanCreations on Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/shop/MilanCreations?ref=pr_shop_more
I may have to steal this idea. Very pretty in gold. I love it of course, because we are going to need a gold topper or yellow as well. LOL to your phobia and you are having a beach theme weddin? What's up with the starfish? Just curious?
It is a beautiful topper, I can't wait to see it in person?
There is a jokingly story about the starfish that I have found and received. We have beaches in our old location and we have relocated up northern California. I have never, I repeat never experienced picking up starfish, flipping them over and smelling them??? Well in my forties (now), I am having that beach theme wedding planning stages and turned one over and nearly barfed! They smell lightly funky and DUH???? They are starfish! I thought since I had the fingered starfish ones, which are cuter than the fat brown ones (smile), I really thought they were FAKE! NOT!!! LOL They are okay if you don't smell them...ehheheee...but now I have this phobia about the starfish and their smell! I have decided to use the ones that I do have for decor on items, but not as planned around the dinner linen napkins, on dinner plates and wedding cake. I will be substituting orchids instead! LOL Don't get me wrong, I love the beach with the natural smells and all, but can't stand that fishy smell...Ewwwww, yuck! (sigh)...
