~Our Renewals~ As for you all know, I am a Goodwill shopper and intially I wanted a $200.00 cakestand off of Etsy. Since we are having 26 guests, I've decided to venture out and find a more reasonable one.
I found my iron, ivory cake stand at one of our local Goodwills here and can you believe that it already had the rhinestones attatched on it? LOL Fine with me...hehehehehe! I wanted addition crystals to add onto it for more color and elegance, so I ordered the French Pink and Clear Crystals from Cristalier and added some orchids in the center, along with the crysal beads I already had.
Picture #3-5 is a demo shot of how the cake will look on the stand. These are some temporary cake dummies I have to give you more of the vision I'm craving. Our top cake will be just enough to feed our guests of 26 at our beach wedding/island destination. The bottom cake dummy will be covered with hot pink/fushia satin and decorated by myself with some seashells and pearls later on. (Another project)!
Total cost for my stand at the Goodwill was : $6.99 and my crystals were $2.38 each!
Our Cake Stand total: $20.00! Whooo Whooo!!!!!

Tell little G, Happy Easter from Auntie Rhonda! (smile)
<3 this one Rhonda! I have never seen such a reasonable price for cake stands! Heck, my stand was over 100 for cupcakes. LOL You did a beautfiul job on your cake stand! Already had bling, how could you beat that? Excellent!!! Love the price!
Seansgirl, I have said this before. I go into the Goodwill, not looking for anything particular. I just stumble across on these things. Also, when you look to hard, I never find anything. You have to have patience and look down every single aisle.
Mardigrasdez: I know! I saw some stands that I really like and they were super expensive. Thank you again, I am so happy with this find.
Thanks again for loving it!
Way to go, chica!
I know that all of us have been so annoyed by WBC being down a lot lately and we have talked and talked about this during the last couple of months via Facebook and here. It is SO important to have our diaries of our planned wedding ideas handing to us at all times and we haven't been able to express that enough. You guys have pursuaded me to do a newer blog and I must say: "LET'S ROLL!"
I am proud to say, my husband and I have created a NEW WEDDING BLOG where you can do the same as keeping your diary of your special planned day as a back up and much much more! Rod has worked around the clock to help out his wife. Yes, a back up dairy website that we would love to see you join us!
Check it out: www.Weddingbelltalk.com is now officially launched today! Hope to see some of you there and thank you for the Love and all of the Support!
Hugs!
