First of all, Happy Memorial Day ladies! Starting off with:
What do you think about my shoes, girls?

#1 Please don't even go there on laughing at my toesnail polish. Yes, I have an appointment! LOL & a HAAAA!

#2 I was so excited about showing you the transformation of my shoes, I don't care if you do laugh, that's on me right? HA!!

Okay, getting right to the point and story on my shoes! I have an old ankle injury and really can't wear heals, but I really want to so I will have my back up flip flops on standby.
A. I found these comfy shoes at the Goodwill brand new for $10.00 a few months back in red! {pic 2}
B. On 1/2 off day, I purchased them for $5.00 and I really couldnt believe how comfortable they were!
C. I was so excited about them, so I brought them home, spray painted them my famous Watermelon color from Walmart, {pic 3-4},
D. Ordered my blinged shoeclips from AbsolutelyAudrey.com for $25.00
E. Added them to the shoes {pic 1 & 7}

The purpose of these babies is for photo purposes before the wedding and after the wedding. I really want some photo shots of my shoes and gown, my feet across my hubbys lap, etc...Bling, Bling! During the ceremony I will be wearing my flip flops during thee ceremony on the sand and reception.

Okay, what do you girls think?

Aw, I love them!! They really make a big difference! And I would have never thought you could spray paint shoes, so glad you got to use your watermelon color. (PS, that's the same spray paint we've used on our projects, ;) ) I love the transformation, you did such a good job!!

The thing that is so funny about is, as long as the shoes are leather, the paint takes well to it. i thought about getting them dyed professionally, but at $5.00 I didn't have much to loose! LOL Make sure to let them air out good after pray painting them, because it is a strong paint. These were done a couple of months ago so we are set. I say a good couple of days of airdrying is good. They were dry after a couple of hours on a good day.

I'm so glad too! Finding a comfy shoe at an excellent price! If my feet begin to hurt, I will not feel so guilty about spending 80.00 on some shoes! HAA!

WOW!!!! I absolutely love them! The price is amazing! The clips make it look like a pair of $100.00 shoes! I just love that shade of pink too! You did a beautiful job on these! I know you are so happy to see your dream shoes come to life? Comfort is the KEY!

I have to ask though... are you standing on a chair just to get a pic for us WBC ladies?? lol Can't really tell but it looks like one and if so WHY ARE YOU ON A CHAIR IN HEELS WITH AN ANKLE INJURY!?! HAHAHA

Live2sing: You ARE HILARIOUS! iT WAS MY FOOT STOOL! HA!!! I was trying to find a good pkace to take it. For some reason different color carpets and flooring wouldn't capture the details in the shoes. My gubby held me up on the stool as my daughter tooj the pictures. HeHeHee!

First of all, loving the shoes!! Wow, you did a beautiful job!! The brooches are gorgeous! The colors are popping! Now you Mrs. Girlie, you be caredul with standing on them chairs and footstools now. LOL You are so daring and I just love it!

That is a very cool idea! I would have not thought to do that. I'm decorating my own shoes too. You did a great job and for an excellent price too!

Lovely job! Hey, that's what I am talking about! I love the brooches! The pink is beautiful especially in a spray paint. How many coats did you have to do? I have a pair here that needs a color change, i may do that for our upcoming cruise.
