We've decided not to spend money on something like this, so we'll be going through the glass clinking thing...which is fine...not something I'm losing sleep over.
At my sister's wedding as a Newfoundland tradition, people had to get up in groups of two and dance a jig with one person wearing large rubber boots and the other person wearing wool socks. It sounds kinda tacky I know but it was the most hilarious thing you ever saw and people were losing it laughing! Everyone made so many comments afterwards about what a unique idea it was and how much fun they had doing it and watching it.
At my cousins wedding they, being huge hockey fans, had a net setup on the dance floor with sections blocked off in it. When someone got the puck in a certain corner the bride & groom kissed, another corner and the grooms parents kissed, and another the brides parents. The guests had a fun time with that. For my own reception I had the idea of having a karaoke machine and the guests would pick a popular love song and sing a clip from it. I'm not 100% sure if thats what we'll have though, I might end up just opting for the glass clinking
We didn't do anything, people clinked their glasses on their own and let me tell you, that gets real old real quick especially when you are trying to eat or talk!! It's was cute, then drove us nuts!! :)
Have a great picture of a kissing tree if you want I would be happy to send to you.
