It's cheaper to make your own! These are made of painted plastic leaves, pearls, dry baby's breath and other odds and ends found at Michaels.

We got really crazy with out invitation. It is actually a book of poems and some of our engagement photos. It was french folded to mimic the accordion fold from our save-the-dates. The RSVP card was attached as a tear-out postcard. The invite was letterpressed for the vintage look. The book was enclosed in a muslin bag w/ a tag and mailed in a kraft box. It was really fun!

Here is the final pick for the bridesmaid dresses: Alvina Valenta in Shimmer. One of my bridesmaids picked it out. She looked awesome in it! The first one we picked out from Alix&kelly was too expensive but this one suites their budget and it was still within our wedding style. Change is good =)

I got my flower girl's headband in the mail this past Wednesday from Llubav. It matches the ringbearer's pillow. It's made of 3 roses out of felt with a bit of a feather on the side. I think it is very adorable!

Well, here's some of our engagement photos. The talented Heather Hughes took them beautifully. I got some of my inspiration from Japanese engagement shots. I think they look wonderful. Some of the photos will be embedded in our invites. Can't wait!

I can't get enough of the old Hollywood glam look. My friend, who is a MAC make-up artist, will be creating this look for me to tie in the vintage lace dress and hairdo. She also did my make-up for our engagement session. Photos to show soon. I can't wait.

Wow! Llubav Choy Duerr designed and handmade my ring pillow. It is beautifully handcrafted in felt with a touch of gold threading and pearls here and there. I love how she incorporated a birdcage and lovebirds into our pillow...just perfect for our theme. She did a fabulous job. She will also be making a headband for the flowergirl. I can't wait to see it.

I couldn't help myself when I saw this sweet Betsey Johnson dress....I had to get it. The only question is: Where would I wear this awesome pink dress?? I might want to wear this to my bridal shower this coming July instead of what I had originally planned. I also found a beautfiul pair of pewter-colored shoes from Target on sale! They look so cute together =)

I love these beautiful accessories. If only I can do a wedding each year, I would love to use them. I might just use them for our photo shoot coming up. It will be fun =)

Since we are doing the banquet-style arrangement for our reception I needed table runners to spruce them up a little. I wanted a vintage feel to it, so I picked out a velvel flock damask wallpaper in bone color. This can be found at www.creativewallcovering.com.

I'm a big fan of Anthropologie. I just happen to be browsing on their website this morning and I couldn't help eyeing these pretty little things. I love the brass nosegay ring and fabric flower necklace.

I saw this beautiful cake while flipping through Martha Stewart Weddings recent magazine. I love the colors of the cake. It will go perfectly with what I had in mind. This photo is not a very good representation of the colors but you get the gist of it. The cake has a beigy color with white lace and a wrapped with yummy flowers =)

We ordered our wedding bands 2 weeks ago when we went away on a weekend trip. I chose the rose gold Novo band and he chose a platinum band. We even wore them around that weekend just to see how they would look on us. It was exciting!

Today, I spend a good portion of the day with one of my bridesmaids at Bed, Bath, and Beyond scanning away all sorts of things for the house. I'm so glad she came with me since she actually picked out this beautiful casual dinnerware: Lenox Chirp. She said it was sooooo me! I also picked out a formal set from Vera Wang's collection for the holidays....

I found my inspiration for our invitation: vintage book spines! Yup! More to come.....

I found this birdcage favor box on estilloweddings.com. It comes in ivory or white. Sweet chocolate tiles and Burt's Bees tin lip balm are going in this adorable Victorian birdcage favor box.

I booked our get-away ride! It's a 1947 Plymouth Deluxe car.....classic! I'd like to add a banner to it like the 2nd photo. It's sooooo roooomantic......sigh!

I'm not sure what kind of cake to get. I love red velvet cake but I'm not sure if that is a crowd pleaser. What flavor is your cake???

This photo was actually taken from the venue we are using, The Renaissance. I am using the dark wood Chiavari chairs also. I think it's going to look gorgeous.

I love James Bond and his delicious style! It's so modern but yet so classic with a tinge of glam and sex appeal. Mr. Cupcake and his groomsmen will need to borrow some of that luxe from Bond....James Bond.

I finally picked out my reception table flowers. Since we are doing a little bit of the bird motif, we will incorporate decorative antique birdcages with flowers in them. I love the look of luscious peonies, sweet peas, bouvardia and gardenia leaves. Of course, the color palette will be different from the photo embedded to match our wedding colors (red, ivory, a bit of gold, perhaps some teal/turquoise/pool blue, kraft paper brown).

Here are my earrings that I ordered from tejani.com. This picture doesn't really do justice. They look more gorgeous in person! Should I wear a necklace with it or would the necklace ruin the dress???
