OFFICIAL LETTER FROM OBAMA

I have to thank another bride on this website for telling about inviting the President to our wedding to get our keepsake postcard for our scrapbook but unfortunately I can't remember who is was. Any how it came last week and I forgot to notify you guys. I mailed off my invite in August. Happy Planning to you all.

Awesome. We've been thinking of other celebrities we want to invite like Billy Joel and Henrik Lundqvist (hockey player). It'd be cool to have letters from all of them! haha!

WOW yours came really quick!!  We just got ours a little over a week ago, but I mailed our invites out back in May lol!!  I guess maybe they just wait til they have a HUGE stack of them, and then go through them all at once...so some people might have to wait 6 months (like us!!) and some might only have to wait 2 or 3 lol!!  The only bad part is that ours wasn't even addressed to US!!  I guess they were looking at our invite cause they got our address right, but then they glanced at someone else's invite and wrote down their names on our envelope, and they probably got a card with our names on their envelope LOL!!  I almost thought about sending it back, but when I realized the card would be the exact same on the inside no matter what, I decided it wasn't worth waiting another 6 months for the exact same thing lol!!!

Hey gorgeous I send it out the first week of Aug and I got it like Nov 6th or so...about 2 1/2 to 3 mo. Others have waited longer.

Mrs.Carter I don't remember the website but you can google "how to invite the president to your wedding" and you should get a couple hits. All you have to do is address your invite to the address online and send it to them and then they mail the postcard back to you. I did mines in August hoping it would be back by the wedding in October but no such luck it came about 3 wks after the wedding.
