This is pdxgirl's Green Wedding!

I knew as soon as I saw it on Bloom's website, that I wanted this space. I mean exposed brick, tiny white lights, color wash on the ceiling. High drama and sustainable building. (seriously the toilets flush with rainwater, which isn't a real wedding selling point but is a fun fact)

Then the reality hit, the Armory is a theater for Portland Center Stage and there are only seven-eight saturdays when lobby rental is really an option. Add to that since Matt and I were not waiting any longer than four months...(and that only cause the third month after our engagement is December and we don't want to add stress by having our wedding during Christmas) The odds weren't looking good.

But woo-hoo, when I asked about Jan 5th the event coordinator said that there was a bride with her name down, but she hadn't put down a deposit, so she would ask her to do so to hold the day.

Well the bride declined. It's mine! We are getting married at the Armory.
