Wedding Flowers
What is available when?

I was thinking about what flowers will be available in spring here. I found a few helpful sites that give the availability of most common flowers. Although most flowers can be obtained out of season, there is definitely a price spike!

(Holland flower council - sooo many fun toys to play with here including a colour scheme tutorial)

In amongst all this, I found quite a few white and green flowers that are easily available in the spring or year round. All except the fabulous zantedeschia - second pic - that you can only get in the fall. I love the ones with black centres (anemones and the green spike gerbera) to make a black-white-green bouquet effect.

So a growing wedding trend is brooch bouquets, and ever since I saw one I knew I HAD to have one....
