I finally put finished the wedding website. Took a while, but I think it looks great now. I am hooked on Wedding Wire. What a helpful site. Love the guest list importer and the seating chart. Actually, the budget tool is beyond amazing as well. Really happy that my sister recommended it :)

Save The Dates
Woo-hoo!! Save the dates have been shipped. It feels a little early to me, but our wedding is a week before Christmas Day so the FH pushed to have them out ASAP. Lol, anyone else have a FH who is uber giddy? He wants to be involved in every aspect. I love it. So helpful and full of energy. Definitely creates an easy flow and makes the planning process so much more fun :)
I ordered my accommodation cards from Vista Print. I also ordered my return address labels from Vista Print and am so happy with A) how they turned out and B) the ridiculously low price. The business cards that I turned into hotel info were free, I just paid the shipping and my return address labels were $4.99 plus shipping. All in all I paid under $20. I have a few more items I will be ordering from there and I'll post them as they come in. My Guest labels I bought at Staples. The package was $14.99 which includes 200 labels and the templates to print at home. It was really easy to organize. If you're like me and write like a man (seriously, it's awful lol) this is an awesome route to take. |

Bridal Shower
What do you think???
My sister's bridal shower is a month away and I am having it at my house. It's a 1950' tea party, which is my sister's wedding theme as well. My cake lady has made this lovely little (completely edible) saucer and cup. Does this make a nice thank you for the bridal shower guests? I love how it looks, but will other people like them? Is it just me lol...

Clinking of Glasses...
Putt for Puckers
So my FH and I are both totally annoyed by the idea of having 120 people tapping their forks on the wine glasses all throughout dinner. We were trying to come up with some type of middle ground because, let's face it, we all know wedding attendants want to see the bride and groom smooch...a lot. I have been running through different variations of the tradition and could not find one that I liked. Yesterday I was in a sports store and it hit me; "Putt for Puckers". My FH and his entire family are avid golfers so they will love it. I bought a putting green that I will set up in front of the head table. Every person who wants us to kiss will have to putt and sink the ball...or at least putt :)

Ok, I am having way too much fun creating these inspiration boards. My sister and her FH (her wedding is in July) came for Sunday dinner, while at my house she showed me how she made her beautiful board online. I am hooked! Lol, Does the excitement ever wear off???

Our wedding venue contract has been signed, sealed and delivered!
What a fabulous feeling. Now for all the 1001 other details that need to be organized lol! Baby steps...right?! I really do love our venue though. Beautiful staircase that leads up to the "cocktail hour" hallway and then into the ballroom. I love the chandeliers and the best part is the wedding coordinator. She is a blast to communicate with. Ever so helpful. The restaurant is an adorable spot for the "Thank you Brunch" the next day. Love, love, love our finalized choice!! |
