I wanted someting similar with your set up. i think burgudy is great and i think also a deep purple would look nice too... but then you could have all differant shades.
I think you can still have your colours of your wedding... like decor to be a certain palette.. but i also think you can deck the bridesmaids out to be the brighter contrast.
