Wedding Hair Style
SOOO mad at myself. :(
I am sooo mad at myself right now. Seriously want to cry. I wrote down 12:00 for my hair trial today. I made my whole days plans around it, literally to the minute because this weekend is so busy. I rushed around all morning to get everything done, and while I was in the shower, my stylist called and left a voicemail saying she had me down for 10:00 and wanted to make sure everything was ok since I missed it. UGH!!!! How in the hell did I write that down wrong????? I'm so upset. The next appointment isn't until June 9 at 4:00. Hopefully I can get that one right. Plus its's getting awful close to the wedding if I don't like it.

Philly was being amazing, and telling me he doesn't know how I keep half the stuff straight that I do, and he thinks I'm wonder woman for all that I juggle, which is really sweet, but I want to be mad, haha. So I just had to vent. Hopefully I can get it right next time. Sorry for the pity party for one, but I just needed to whine. Lol. Hope you all are having a better Saturday than me!!!! LOL. :)

PS, I actually feel a little better after typing REALLY HARD. haha. :)

Just for fun!
How involved is your Groom?
Good morning, Ladies!!! I woke up so appreciative of Philly and how much he has done to help with the wedding planning process. Any time I complain, my sisters tell me that I am very lucky that he is as involved as he is, one sister said her husband was done after giving her the ring, haha.

Granted, most of the planning and ideas have been mine, but I think that's pretty typical. Philly is a very visual person, and unless he actually SEES something, he just isn't able to give an opinion. But I still wanted him as involved as possible.

He took over ALL of the painting. He actually joked about our garage being "Sohns Custom Wedding Painting" for awhile. HAHA. We made our card box together, he painted it and did the cutting, I did the decorating. Same with our cupcake stand, he did all the painting and I did the ribbon. And then my Mom threw at us that she wanted something on the small pillars at the ceremony, so I chose flower pots. Found black, couldn't find pink, so there he went again, painting the flower pots!! :) And he painted the wishing tree also!!

Almost every week he will ask what still needs done, and if there is anything he can do. Sometimes I give him a list of things to get, and he comes home with them, too sweet. And he's been amazing at helping put stuff together and giving opinions on colors, looks, thoughts, etc. And he's made every vendor appointment with me!!

Probably the BIGGEST thing he has done, is he is my biggest fan. He loves everything that I've come up with, and is always so genuinely impressed when I finish something. And tells me so often how amazing our wedding is going to be thanks to me. He really is so sweet and supportive, love him to pieces!! Even when somthing I tried doesn't work out, he's the first one to help figure out how we can fix it.

So I just wanted to do a shout out to my fiance, with a big thanks!!

How involved is everyones future husband? Do you want him to be? Or would just rather he sit and look pretty? HAHA. :)

Hope you all are having a great day!!

We get to have a photobooth!!
I'm sooo excited!!! Philly and I really wanted a photobooth to go with our "fun" theme, but it just wasn't in the budget. Philly said it was in the budget, I said it wasn't, lol. The closer I get to the wedding, the less and less I want to spend money. I don't want to sound cheap, but it's just all so much, ya know?

Anyway.....our photographer had told me months ago that she could set up a backdrop at the wedding or at the reception if we wanted it for "formal" shots. I thought hey, why not? Might as well.

We went for our detailing at the reception venue Monday, and I told the coordinator about the backdrop so she could make sure there was enough room. I text our photographer to ask how much room she needed and she replied 10X10. Great. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, if she can take formal shots, why not goofy shots?? So I asked her about it and she said Sure!!!! And she even has some props already that she is going to email me to check out. So I'll see what she has and then if there's something else we want, we have some time still to go get them!! And best part, no extra fee!!!! :)

I was also thinking about putting the "Beth Loves Philly" banner that my SIL made for the shower on the backdrop so it is in the background of all the pics.

It all just seemed to work out, we got our photobooth for no extra cost. Granted it won't be the ones that develop right there on a strip of photo paper, but we will still have the pictures. Kind of a DIY Phootbooth!! And the photography contract states that we get a disc with all the pictures, so we can always print them later!

Pretty excited about it!!!

Have a great afternoon, Lovely Brides!!!

Wedding Planner
Countdown is on!
30 days!!!! AARRGGHHH!!! I'm so excited! One month from today I will marry my best friend, and I can't wait!!!

We pretty much have everything done, which is what I was trying to do from the beginning. I didn't want to stress and freak out at the end of the countdown. I'm hoping to get the few things we have to do done by the end of May so that June is smooth sailing! :)

Things we still need to do,
*buy two tablecloths
*final dress fitting
*label the water bottles
*print pictures
*music list
*get marriage license
*buy fabric for decoration for sweetheart table

Not too bad of a list for the month before. Should be able to get it done this month. There are a few little things to do also, but some of it we literally can't do until the week of.

Soooo excited! The countdown begins! :)

Hair trial this weekend.
I'm pretty excited for my hair trial this Saturday!! And I have a high school graduation to go to that night, so it won't go to waste! :) As some of you know, my first plan was to do a half up half down soft curl style. (pics 4 and 5) I still LOVE this hairstyle, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought of how hot it is going to be, and I really don't think that having my hair on my neck is a good idea. It is an outdoor wedding in June afterall. :)

So I changed it to a soft updo. I still have the hair pins that I will try to work in, but I also have a flower that matches my sash that I can put in either with my veil, or replace my veil with afterwards. She told me to bring everything with me and we can see what works. Best part, it's only $35.00. Super excited about that. That's the cost of the day of also!! :)

My main goal is that you can see my hair from the front, so I want it to the side. I always look like a boy when my hair is pulled back, lol. Silly, I know, but true!!!

I'll post pics this weekend when it's done!!

Happy Planning, ladies!

Wedding Ceremony
Chose the reading.
Happy Friday Ladies!!! I'm so ready for the weekend!! Philly and I are actually off together, first time in over a month, woo hoo!!!

My sister in law is doing a reading at our wedding ceremony. She is so very important to me, and in hind sight I should have made her a bridesmaid, but that can't be changed. I've really thought long and hard about what I want read at the wedding. I've always known I would have 1Corinthians 13 read, at least verse 4-5. I have loved that verse since I was 12 years old, and one of my few really really good memories of my Dad is of me making a collage with him for my Mom for Mothers Day using that verse. So it's special. But I wasn't sure it was enough. Taken me alot of searching, but I found an Edmund O'Neill poem I really like, I did cut a bit out of it, but that's ok.

"Marriage Joins Two People In The Circle of Its Love"

Marriage is a commitment to life,
the best that two people can find and bring out in each other.
It offers opportunities for sharing and growth
that no other relationship can equal.

Within the circles of its love,
marriage encompasses all of lifes most important relationships
A wife and a husband are each others best friend,
confidant, lover, teacher, listener and critic.

Marriage deepens and encriches every facet of life
Happiness is fuller, memories are fresher
commitment is stronger, even anger is felt more strongly
and passes more quickly.

Marriage understands and forgives the mistakes life
is unable to avoid. It encourages and nurtures new life
new experiences, new ways of expressing
a love that is deeper than life.

When two people pledge their love and care for each other in marriage,
they create a spirit unique unto themselves which binds them closer
than any unspoken or written words.
Marriage is a promise, a potential made in the hearts of two people
who love each other, and takes a lifetime to fulfill.

Love and marriage can best be described by 1Corinthians 13 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

So what do you guys think??? Do you like the saying? Do you think it's too long? I would rather it be too long versus too short. Thanks in advance for your input!!! Have a great weekend!!

Engagement Pics...Round 2 this weekend!
So you all know I posted some of our engagement pictures from when we first got engaged. For the new brides, go check them out!!! ;-) And that we got engaged on top of a mountain in Montana( there's a post about that too, lol). So we really wanted to get some snow engagement pictures. However, Illinois had our mildest winter practically EVER. Normally I wouldn't complain about no snow, but really? The time I wanted it, lol. So obviously we didn't get our snow pics to match our engagement.

But we still wanted to have a few pictures that not every one of our families and friends have seen.

Soooo, we are going for round two this Sunday. :) I really want a few fun pictures that we can have around the ceremony and reception, at like the welcome table, etc. And ones that people haven't seen. So we will be heading out Sunday for those. I think I want to go to the park, I think it will be fun and bring out our playful personalities.

But since you all can't be there, I will still share them with you!! :)

Ask a Question
Which ribbon should I use?
Hi ladies. I am in the process of working on my fan programs. But before I get much further, I need to decide on what ribbon to use. I put on a black, a pink and a polka dot. Which one do you think looks better??? I know most people will look at this and not answer, but I really can't decide. Or do you think I should nix the ribbon all together and leave it just the fan?? Or do half and half like the bubbles are?

Usually I am pretty good at eyeing things, but I just can't decide. Please help????

Thank you!!! :)

Finished my Reserve Signs
Good afternoon, Ladies!!! Just wanted to share my RESERVED signs with you. Futuremrswilson, now Mrs. Wilson was kind enough to send me the template for her signs, so I got to work.

I only need two for the ceremony, as I will put them strung with ribbon to reserve two rows of seats, I'll put them on the aisle caps. And then two for the tables at the reception.

I decided to use the black glitter paper, I think it added a little something. :)

Very happy with them and just wanted to share. Another to-do crossed off the list. 38 days....eek!! So excited!! :)

Happy Planning!!

Wedding Dress
Had my first fitting today!
I had my first dress fitting today!!! I was a little nervous because of all the junk I ate and drank this weekend at the race, and it was a little tight, but I'm not worried about that, I had it on a few weeks ago and it was fine. Just need to not eat like that for the next month, lol.

The only thing that needs done is the hem, it was like 6 inches too long. And my cousins Grandma is doing it, she used to be the seamstress at Davids Bridal. So I get the professional service without the price!!! :)

Two of my bridesmaids went with me and they just had to get the strap tightened and they are good to go!!

Happy Day!!
