Jason and I started dating in July of 2009, but became a couple in September. He flies a medivac helicopter, and would fly into the airport that I work, and the rest is history. :) I should tell you that he is originally from Philadelphia, so I call him Philly. :)
We had talked quite a few times about how we would like to visit Montana, and one day he surprised me and told me that we were going!! He had planned the whole trip himself, and we were leaving the day after his birthday! So we had to fly out of St. Louis, so I planned his birthday dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse and we stayed the night in St. Louis.
Montana was amazing!!! We stayed at the Big Sky Ski Resort, it was beautiful!! Little did I know there were more surprises!
He had planned a dinner where you take a snowcat to the very top of the mountain, and have dinner in a yurt. It was a seven course meal, and had even ordered me the vegetarian meal because I don't eat steak. So there was a whole group of us, and we decided to ride on top of the snowcat, all bundled up with blankets. It started snowing on the way up, is was soo cool! Once we got up there, there was torch lit sledding and hot chocolate. Then it was time for dinner. The meal was great and the couple we sat with were so nice. The chefs told us we could all go sledding and they would call us for dessert. We did a couple sled runs, then Jason said he wanted to go for a walk. So we started walking around the mountain, and stopped to take in the view. He was standing behind me with his arms around me, then started shifting around a little bit. He said, Beth and I turned around and there he was, down on one knee!!!!!! He asked if I would marry him and I of course said YES!! I jumped on him to hug him and darn near knocked the ring out of his hand!!!!! LOL. The ring is beautiful, he had it custom made in Philadelphia, he did such a wonderful job!!
We went back in for dessert, and I told the lady at our table, then her and her husband told everyone and they all toasted us!!!! On our way back down the mountain, they were all so nice and giving us great advice. They all really made it just that much more special.
The rest of the trip was just as amazing. We went to a tube park, went ziplining, and just had a wonderful time!!!
I wanted a fall wedding, with sunflowers, but my brother is a Marine and stationed in Arizona and can only come in the summer. He is giving me away as my father passed away when I was 14. Getting married without him there is not an option!!! Sooooo, here we are, getting married 7 days before my birthday, and I'm having my favorite color, pink, and gerbera daisies!!!
I can't wait to be his wife and share my special day with all of you girls also! Happy Planning!!!!

I love the fact that you switched your desired season for your wedding so your brother could give you away. I know it means a lot to him as well.
WELCOME to the FAMILY and HAPPY PLANNING :-)
I also really wanted a fall wedding, but it just wasn't financially realistic since we are paying for everything ourselves. We would have had to push the wedding back another 6 months, with an already 27 month engagement. So, we settled on June of 2013. I would have loved to use the autumn colors though!!
