WBC, yes or no?? - Should I stay or should I go?? - PHILLYSGIRL5's Pink Wedding by Color Blog

I've only been a member of WBC for a little over a month. And like everyone else, I look back at past brides posts, and I felt like there was a real sense of community, everyone was so nice and helpful and always had something to input. What happened???

I've wondered a few times, about why I even bother posting. Like one of my posts has 52 visits and 5 comments. Don't get me wrong, I'm not so needy that I need people to comment constantly, but some input is nice. I try to comment on others posts, I've not been on alot lately with my Mom being in the hospital, but I plan to catch up. :) And I have to give a shout out to the 3 brides that always seem to have something nice to say, Princesni, Hismrsb and glamdivabride. Thank you ladies. :)

But this past weekend with all the hackers and fake accounts really has me wondering, is it worth it?? I was lucky enough to not have a personal attack from this girl, but it really bothered me what she said to others. :(

I really love this web site, and am really torn right now. Maybe I'll sleep on it and feel better. I just thought I would be honest and share my feelings with you all.

Aww hun don't be discouraged by the negativity :) I think the positive still outweighs the negative and this will pass. Just ignore them and they will go away! We don't want to start losing great brides like you because of insignificant, rude ppl :)
I understand your frustration, but just remember all the great brides that are on here! xo

dont worry about the negative comment that some of these simple heifers are leaving.. just delete them and move it along. there are still some encouraging brides on here!

Aww, this really disappoints me. i truly hope you stay! don't let these stupid random broads with no lives make you leave! i know how you feel. After getting nasty comments all day I also thought of leavin but you know what, I remembered the team that I have here and one person isn't going to keep me from sharing this journey with these amazing brides like your self!
so please stay :)
we don't want to make this individual feel like she can run anyone out of here! the only person who should leave is her, and if we stick together and like the other girls said, just ignore and don't give her the time of day and delete anything she says, she'll eventually have to find another hobby.

I agree with the other girls! You should stay! We are all a family and this fake bride needs to know she can't tear any of us apart :)

there are still some good brides out there! I left but came back. Stick it out- I think you'll find it's worth it :)

awww hun thanks... like the ladies said, dont let this haffer run you its what she wants-!! we are here for u and we love u... yeah sometimes WBC hits a comment snag and sometimes is as active as a beehive (just like any relatioship) so stick it out love... dont gooooooo!!!!!

Like I have been saying to other brides, WBC never used to be like this.
It's horrible that you have had sucha negative experience but if you stay you will see more postitive than the negative.
Sometimes a break from the site helps but don't leave and let the negative people take away the fun part of your wedding planning!

That exactly what she wants. Dont give in. This is a great community and I love alot of the ideas. Someone always thinks o something I havent thats cheaper or easier than what im doing. Its worth it to stay.

Please don't leave....that's what they want. Some people really feed off of negativity. You really just have to pray for them and laugh it off.

I do agree that the site was more of a community. I think people just like to be nosey and steal ideas these days. Thank you for the shout out. I really try to leave a comment on every post that I see to let other brides know that we are here lol.

Just give it sometime and I truly believe things will get better. I'm down to 100 days and no one can take my joy away!

Hi Phillysgirl5..my name is Sabrina and I felt the exact same way, after reading all the msgs that Sabrina (hismrsb) had to deal with yesterday, and receiving on myself, about my wedding dress being ugly..it stung. I know this person, is insignificant to me, and I shouldnt even care about what she says, it still hurt to hear someone be so mean. I can take positive criticism, but there is a difference being that and being rude. I am however hopeful...that this will all stop...and our experience with WBC will only be positive from here on out... Let's work together, let's share our stores, let's learn from one another. This is a once and a lifetime experience for all of us, marrying the loves of our lives, planning our special days. I hope you don't leave WBC...it's people like you and hismrsb that we need here...sharing love, not hate! Big hugs!
