I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was fun, my bachelorette party was last night, so I'm EXHAUSTED, but that's another post, ;)
We had our taste testing at the reception venue yesterday afternoon. Our main goal was to make sure we liked the tacos since that is what we are doing is a taco bar. Best part, we LOVED the tacos, they were exactly what we were hoping they would be. We also tried the chicken enchiladas that will be on the bar. It was me, Philly, my Mom and my niece, Rachel.
Here's what was on the taste menu
*tacos
*chicken enchiladas
*turkey and stuffing
*virginia ham
*lasagna
*pork medallions
*salmon
*fried chicken
*grilled chicken breast with basil cream sauce
*grilled chicken breast with teryaki sauce
*chicken cordon bleu with garlic cream sauce
*chicken breast stuffed with spinach leaves, creams cheese
*sliced roast top sirloin of beef with red wine mushroom sauce
It was all very good, the only thing I didn't try was the salmon because I don't like it. The pork was tough, but everything else was great! We are still going with the taco bar, obviously, but we may do ham as a second alternative.
I also posted a few pictures of the outside and main entrance to the reception hall. I love the chandalier in the entryway, and the hallway has smaller chandaliers all the way down it leading to the room the reception is in. It's so pretty. I really like the sitting area outside of the room also.
20 days and counting!! EEK!! So excited!! :)
