Wedding Dress

my dress

I received my dress yesterday. I'm so excited:) $159 made to MY measurements.

I tried on a ( onsale, haha) dress at David's bridal that was $650- the dress I bought was the closest thing I could find on ebay from china that matched it. I read alot of reviews, asked alot of questions and decided that since i'm on a very small budget this was the right way to go and I am NOT dissapointed. The dress is not the same quality as davids bridal. It's lighter, which is great for me- I'm in Phoenix- so lighter the better. I was really nervous and scared. But I treated it like a $150 bet in vegas- If the dress was bad then I lost but if it was good I won $500 ( in savings) :)

I received the dress in 30 days.....

DIY Tears of Joy.......I did 4 different ones, 2 are in yellow and 2 are in damask... I liked the damask one better so I did the rest just like it.

Liners

I found some cupcake liners close enough to my damask design. I called the lady making my 100 cupcakes and asked if her if I brought in liners matching my wedding would she use them and she said no problem. This will be so cool and cheap. I got 144 liners for under $20

Wedding Reception

caterer or no??

We are doing a small budget wedding. I mean small. Not $10,000 small but like $2000 small. After church, venue, ect..... I have about a fifty cent budget for food. LOL. No, not really. But this is my plan anyone ever NOT used or are planning not to use a caterer? We have a venue and our wedding is about 60 people. I am going to get about $600 in mexican food ( my and my family and FI's family's fav food) Not from some el cheapo place but a place we actually love to eat at. We our setting it up buffett style. We bought enough of the metal trays with the candle things under them. My goal for a reception was to feed everyone till they are stuffed and I can't afford a caterer to do that. We are having a weding cake, Groom's cake and cupcake tree w/ 100 cupcakes ( boxes for them to be taken home as favors) Lots of desserts and now lots of mexican food. But I feel a little sad we don't have caterers. Every book or tv program, and post are ladies with weddings that have caterers....Some tell me it's going to be ok...LOL :)

No really- someone tell me its ok.....I'm kinda freaking out ...LOL

I like this cake style for our main cake...

But with Yellow ribbon and without our initals on top. I'm still up in the air about a topper. I lind of like 2 ducks. :)

Groom Cake

Totally getting this...

We plan to have a big dessert table. The wedding cake, Cupcake Tree and also a groom's cake. I found the cutest Groom's cake- SO CUTE!!!!!
We are going to Disneyland for the honeymoon- so this fits well :)

150 days to go!!!

OMG, 150 days to go??????

Happy, excited and freaked out, LOL> B&W Damask, yellow and silver. Colors, Check. I have alot of ideas almost to many and I sometimes feel overloaded.

Church, Check. 2 hours, $200
Minister- almost check
Recpt room, Includes all day and the day before ...under $400.

Food, I know what I wnat..I haven't ordered yet.

Dress...Not yet.
