I plan to do my hair like the blonde in these pictures and this includes the veil. The only thing is...

Wedding Day Photographs
And a few details from the day
The wedding went really well. There were a few things that went wrong, but nothing large or overwhelming. The day started off with a trip to my new favorite hair salon. If you are in Columbus OH Studio Fovero was amazing. Ask for Meghann! Anyway, everyone's hair turned beautifully. A note of advice here as well, I had the person who was doing my updo dye my hair and I showed her pics of what the up do I wanted before she dyed it. So she highlighted with the up do in mind. It turned out wonderful. Then from 12-2 we took professional pictures. Another piece of advice, my MIL brought a stool with her so I could sit without wrinkling or rearranging my dress. It made my day much more comfortable. The ceremony is where the tiny things started to happen. I checked the aisle runner during the rehearsal but somtime between then and the ceremony one of the pulls got caught into the aisle runner and they struggled to get it out. Not a huge deal and they got it lose eventually. Then The doors opened and my dad were standing there.... and my music didn't come on. And my music didn't come on..... It did eventually start playing. I haven't asked the Dj about that yet. The ceremony went well. We both got a little chocked up during the various vows but neither of us cried. I am told my flower girl dropped her basket during the ceremony, but again, not a big deal. The bridal party walked out around us and then we dismissed the pews. We took a couple more photos, had my mom bustle my dress and we were announced.
When walking around to our table my dress caught on an electrical cord and pulled a fake tree down on my mom, so there was another opps. Then we had the speeches and toasts followed by the meal. The food was really good. We had not tasted the food prior to picking it out so that was a relief. Then we cut the cake ( no mishaps). The cake was gorgeous! I didn't give my cake lady an actual picture we kind of piece and parted things together but the cake came out absolutely beautiful and delicious. Then we did the dances. Brad and I's first dance went well. We had practiced it the week leading up to the wedding and the practice paid off. It was nothing fancy, just a few spins here and there but it went over very well. Everyone was suprised by the throw away bouquet splitting into thirds. During the garter toss everyone lost sight of it except for the best man ( a strongman competitor) who did an army roll to snatch the garter. It was very amusing. The last dance we did was my nieces (flower girls) birthday dance. The DJ asked everyone to sing happy birthday to her and then he played her favorite song. I had taught her and the bridal party a little dance to the chorus so everyone got up to dance with us. It got everyone on the dance floor for the rest of the night and worked out well. The dance floor was full all night. Everyone seemed to have a great time. I've gotten the most compliments on the fake snow and the submersible lights, and the book titles instead of table numbers. Everyone alos loved the photoguest book that had our baby-growing up pictures in it and the sand ceremony. None of our guests had actually heard of a sand ceremony before and they all seemed to enjoy it. The pastor and the wedding chapel coordinator are going to start using it and my wording as part of their packages which is pretty cool. It was a great night and everything turned out extremely well. I should have professional pictures soon but here are some guest photos. |

One week to go
and 100 things to do...
Hello! It's been quite awhile but I thought I would check in before the big day.
There was a whole wedding dress debacle that has finally been sorted out. I am fairly certain they never ordered a new dress in my size. There was a whole thing about them not knowing if they ordered it or where it was and then suddenly it was there. 2 times ago when I put it on I realized it was the same size I wear in st street clothes. Which we all know from dress sizes there is no way if they actually ordered a dress with my measurements it would be the same size I am in street clothes. It also happened to be the same exact size as the sample. Fast fw to the last fitting where they took the zipper out. It is a corseted dress and it had like a 3 inch zipper. So to make it fit me they let it out, made a larger modesty panel out of different material and took out the zipper. The problem was they did not put anything where the zipper was. It was just this giant gaping hole with the obviously different material modesty panel kind of covering my butt. It looked horrific. So I told her it was not acceptable and that I would not be wearing this on my wedding day. She said the only thing they could do was add more corset loops down it. I said that's fine. Five minutes later she is acting like it was all her idea and she just wanted to see how it laid on me before she decided to put more loops in. its a four inch gap! it wouldn't have mattered how it laid on me! Anyway they fixed it and it is now in my possession. I am sure the rest of you that have been this far out from a wedding date know the rest of the drama. PEOPLE. RSVP's not being sent back, people deciding to cancel after you give everyone their money. Juggling all of the multiple personalities in your life. Everyone is paid and most of my stuff is dropped off at the chapel. I still need to fill favor boxes with mints and make the fake snow. I have all of the next week off to continue running around like a crazy person. It feels like all I do id go to work and meet with vendors. One of my co workers is working on a program for me. It looks like it is going to be gorgeous so that's exciting. Down to the little stuff. Just hoping it all works out! I'll post pictures after the big day for all to see. |

Ask a Question
All the pieces are here, what do you think?
We finally ordered and received the flora lights for the centerpieces. We put them all together tonight and I don't know if I love it. I definitely love the blue snow look. But when I put it all together I am really not sure. Am I missing something? I really can not afford to put to much more into these centerpieces they are already the most expensive thing at the wedding. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!
P.S. There will be a mirror under it as well. |

Ask a Question
Earrings! What do you think?
I am stuck between these two ( and countless others, lol) but I think i have it narrowed down. My dress has a silver V that comes very high up on me so I will not be wearing a necklace. So I want earrings that are larger then a normally wear. Which set do you like?

We assembled the invitations this weekend now I need to get them stamped and weighed. We still need a plan for cake. Nerves are kicking into high gear now. I am so worried about the day of logistics. I have spreadsheets and agendas and I am still terrified it will all blow up. I want my wedding to run like a well oiled machine! lol. Too ambitious I know. if anyone has any advice let me know! |

Bridesmaids
Flower Girl Dress!!
I went for a fitting on Wednesday and they had the perfect flower girl dress. Same designer and same material as my dress. My mom took her in today to try it on and it fits perfectly. I was afraid we would have to talk her into it, since we really weren't giving her a choice, but she loved it. She is so adorable!

DIY Wedding
Thank You Cards
Here are my ideas so far for the thank you cards. 1 & 2 are the front and the 3rd would be the inside of the card. 4 and 5 are two different front options. I'll probably end up doing all of them, but what do you think?

Wedding Decoration
Centerpiece snow is in!
And it is awesome! I think I will need three tea spoons per vase and I have 14 tables so 1 lb should be plenty.....right? I don't have everything to fully live out the vision yet but I want to put a blue floral light in the snow and then the tea lights all around it will add to the sparkle! So excited!
We picked out the tuxes today. Brad will be in a textured silver vest, the best man will be ina plain silver vest. The groomsmen will be in a plain blue vest and the father will be in textured black. I am just glad it is off of the to do list. Everyone should have received their Save the dates today so that is exciting as well. I now how everything I need to start making my thank you cards. I may get started on that to night and post the trial runs. I need to decide on a style for the showers and for the wedding. The transmission in my parents car died yesterday. That has me stressed money wise but there is not much I can do about it. |

Save The Date
Are in!
The save the dates came in from Vista Print and they are really cute! My mom wanted the back "centered" so it would " look nice" and when we got them we realized we can't use them as post cards anymore. Opps. Other then that they turned out great. I am also still working on my photo checklist if you could check out the question in the post below that would be awesome.
