This is pookylaa's Pink Wedding!

After soooo many roadblocks, we finally drove down to Vegas and got married :D

We left on Thursday, arrived late on Friday. We stayed at the 4 Queens on Fremont street. We had just enough money to be there... we actually ran out of money while we were there and I freaked out but other than that everything was good haha.

We were Married on Sunday at the Belleza Chapel, they were soooo nice to us, I told the owner my situation, how we ran out of money and she took really good cAre of us and gave us a really good deal. The other chapel I wanted (Where Tom Petty was married) they were so busy and weren't getting back to me...

My mom came with us, my husbands mom flew down and met us. I made the mistake of getting pretty drunk the night before our wedding, so the next day I was throwing up everywhere I could. I was fine all morning actually, then when we got to the court house to get our marriage lisence I threw up, and kept throwing up the rest of the day/evening. Even in my dress I was looking for toilets and parkade corners to puke in... hahaha. My dress had gotten a bit tight on me, I think it was a mix of being a little hung over, nervous and the dress being tight.

MIL got us a really nice room at the Straosphere for our wedding night, unfortunatley I passed out as soon as I hit the bed, I was soooo tired hahahaha! The next day his mom was leaving, we were planning on hopping in the car too but I was still pretty tired. His moms flight wasn't until 10pm, so she had paid an extra night in her hotel room that she wasn't going to sleep in, just hang out in until 7:30... she offered us to stay there if we were tired and wanted to see more things before we left. So it all worked out, she lent us a little money, she had a card from grandma that had 100 dollars in it for us which came in really handy, we used it to eat haha. The next day I recieved my child tax in my bank account and thats how we got home. WHEW!

Here are the 10 pics that were included in our wedding package, there are over 100 more but we are making payments on them. It was broadcasted live on the internet, we have the DVD but I can't figure out how to get it onto my compouter, its a bunch of files not just one or two... I'll post it when I figure it out though.

Well, we can't make the trip this weekend... kinda sucks but I don't really care. So much crazy drama has been going on all around me and we can't afford to go this weekend. So NEXT weekend... again I say next weekend lol.

I am really looking forward to it though, and it is going to happen, one of these days. Mom got a rush on her passport and that's all taken care of, fiance has his, I have my ID too so we're all set, just gotta get the money this situated and we're good to go. Uggghhhhhhhh PLEASE LET IT WORK OUT SOON!

Ok, well things keep happening, making it impossible for us to take our little trip to Vegas.

We were supposed to go at the end of August but due to border regulations changing, we had to apply for enhanced ID. My fiance and I applied for a enhanced BCID on the same day, at the same branch, mine came in the mail exactly 2 weeks after, his is still nowhere to be found! It has been over a month! When he phoned them the last time, they said if it hasn't come in at least a month, they would have to wait another 2 weeks to see if it gets returned to them, and if not, they will have to re-issue the card, and it will take another 2 weeks to come in again! Talk about FRUSTRATING!

So, we decided to apply gor a passport for him instead. I'm guessing that should be in today or Monday. Stupid ID! And stupid border!

Plus my mom decided she wants to come, so I have to take her to get her passport today and get a rush on it, my dad was supposed to come with us too but he was laid off, and because the trip keeps getting delayed, he couldn't afford the wait :( Plus he said he didn't want to go if my mom went. Which I think is pretty... selfish? Like... its not about who is coming and who isn't, its being there for their daughter's wedding. I don't know, one thing after another.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I hope it all works out for next weekend, talk about a freakin run around!!!

Ok, just a question, and asking for honest opinions. This is the scenerio...

The ceremony is taking place in a gazeebo, in a fairly nice park, overlooking a valley and river...

After the ceremony is completed, the bride and groom leave... leaving the guests with nothing to do, no food or drinks, no reception at all...just expected to be honored to be "Invited" to the ceremony but with no place to go afterwards... no thanks for coming, they are taking the gifts and leaving the second the ceremony is over.

Only selected family members were invited, not all moms, not all siblings, not all aunts, not all uncles, selected cousins, pretty much JUST the brides family.

The mother and sister of the groom were "uninvited" (invited at first but, due to brides actions, words and childish behaviour... the mother and sister of the groom were uninvited simply because they have decided not to tolerate the harassment, brainwashing, daily mind games, and threats from the bride. It has been tolerated for years before the so called "wedding" but mother and sister have had enough...

Oh yeah... when the bride heard of the sister in laws wedding plans she freaked out in a jealous rage and planned a ghetto second hand wedding in a month... just to piss the sister in law off. The groom has been sober for almost a year (was a full fledged alcoholic for over 10 years), the bride is encouraging him to drink for the past week, and keeping him drunk so he will marry her. I'm guessing the alcohol is so he won't change his mind and see what is really happening.


Now, I need to know... would you girls be ok with going to a wedding like this? and if not, please say WHY.

I know I'm not ok with it... and neither is my mom. If you want to know why I'm not... I am the sister of the groom and this wedding is happening TODAY. Got my dress last week! Grandma, my baby girl and a good friend came with me. My Grandma loved it and lent me some of her pearls for my "borrowed" jewellery.

We keep post poning the date! They changed the regulations at the border, so we had to get our Enhanced ID... my dad had to get his passport and back to school came around plus re-newing car insurance! (sigh) its all taken care of now though, I went to a trip calculator site and calculated the entire cost for our gas and hotels... I figure we are going to need about $2000 to be safe. I can't wait!

So besides all the bull I've gone through, am still going through and there's probably more bull around the corner... here's a couple things that make me feel better!

My girl's dress, It was originally supposed to be floor length but since we're going to Vegas where it's super hot, I decided to make it knee length... I'll post the pic when I upload it off my camera...

My lil mans tux, exactly like his daddy's, sooooo friggen cute! He LOVED it! I might take some fabric from my girls dress and make a little pocket hankey for my lil man... my fiance doesn't want it on his tux but my little guy will <3

Ok, so I phoned the Yacht company yesterday to cancel... the lady says to me "Well actually, your mother in law phoned and she's phoning her friends, trying to round up enough people to use the Yacht for a dinner Party instead, she didn't want her money to go to waste so she's trying to find a way to work it out"

I was about to scream... my body started shaking... WHO THE HELL DOES THAT??? SERIOUSLY!!! That's like throwing a party to celebrate the wedding being cancelled, I'll have a party on the Wedding boat since the Wedding is cancelled, the Wedding is cancelled WOOHOOO!!! Throw it in our faces and rub it in real good... She said it was her money??? That was my fiances money, she saved it for him since he was little and was planning on using it for his grad... he didn't grad so she gave it to him for the wedding.

I told the Yacht lady it was my date, I was the one who signed the contract and I want the yacht CANCELLED. She said that the power struggle between my mother in law and I was beween us and if I had a problem I had to talk to my mother in law. She said she would be mad too but they were looking at it from a business point of view, she said they lost out on thousands of dollars becasue we cancelled and if they can recover it they will, no matter who wants the yacht. Um... helloooo thats what happens when you run a business... things dont always work out and SOMETIMES you lose out on money, thats one of the risks of running your own business!

My fiance phoned her and she said it was all a big misunderstanding... she said she phoned the cruise company "just to see" if the money could be used for something else, or what the options were for the money. I guess her and her husband were seeing if they could find a way to write it off as a business expense for their excavating company. In my opinion that is still messed up, she had no right to do that. That would be like my mom phoning there behind my back trying to use that money for something else. SINCE WE AREN'T USING IT LET'S NOT LET IT GO TO WASTE!!! UGGGHHHHH WHATTA BITCH!!!

Well after TONS of drama, arguments, money issues and stress, my fiance and I have decided to screw the whole thing and take off to Vegas! Since my last post I talked to my FH and he said he didn't want to speak to his dad becasue it would be a huge arguement and nobody would be happy, I was feeling like I wanted to screw the whole thing, I was so upset... So that's what we're doing!

After looking at about 100 little Wedding Chapels and options like helicopter wedding, drive thru wedding, limo wedding, hotel wedding, chapel wedding, Elvis wedding... I found a little place called Wedding Bells Chapel, it wasn't a whole lot different from the rest but one thing had me sold in a second... that's where Tom Petty was married!!! Hahaha, I'm a HUGE Tom Petty fan, you can tell I'm having a lot of fun when I bust out the Tom Petty :D

So, we're packing our bags, packing up our kids and taking off to Vegas for a few days! IT takes about 15 hours to drive there from here, not too bad. I asked my dad to come and he was happy to, at first he said "YOU JUST WANT ME TO COME SO YOU CAN HAVE A BABYSITTER!!!" He laughed and said he would love to. He suggested he stay with the kids in a different hotel than my FH and I so we can be alone. He said we can take off and galavant the night away, he's too old for that kind of stuff :P

So, I'm so happy that it's all working out, take off and screw it all. A lot of people are happy we're doing this because of all the DRAMA, I've been through so much with all this wedding bs, who would have thought it would be such a thing to get married! I'll make it look easy ;)

We lost the money we put down on the Yacht... $1000. I dont think my FMIL is going to be happy about that, she was the one who gave it to us... she can take that up with her ex husband lol! He's the reason we had to elope in the first place!

My baby girls dress is paid off and ready to go, I have yet to get my dress but I will in a few days, pay off the tux's and we're so outta here! WAHOO!!!!!

Ok, I cried a lot today, I woke up, looked at the calendar and realized we have TWO WEEKS until the so called big day. I broke down in tears because there's no way its gonna happen. We still owe about $3600 to have everything ready to go. I'm losing sleep because of all this! I'm so depressed... this is long and I'm seriously venting!

I dont know if its going to work out, the "awesome" FFIL offered to pay for the whole thing but tried to force me to invite people I hate. That didn't go over well and my FH hasn't talked to him about it since. If he doesn't help, we're gonna have to cancel.
Cancel the Yacht anyway, and a whole lot of people!

The Yacht we still owe $2600, which the FFIL was supposed to pay but I dont think he's gonna... I still owe $500 for my dress (not including alterations if needed), about $250 for the tuxedos and $250 for the BM dresses. We dont have our shoes, decorations or flowers, no minister... we dont have the rings but I dont care about that too much, he could put a piece of tin foil on my finger and I'll be happy, we have the rest of our lives to splurge on jewellery :P

SO I'm thinking. If it doesn't work out, which it probably won't, I think we can swing all the small stuff in 2 weeks, the tuxedos, my dress and stuff, just take off and get married somewhere with just friends there. I'm so mad... and upset, I just wanna cry and tell everyone to kiss my ass! F@%K tha world!

Plus my brothers girlfriend is being a fat cow, she totally pissed me off last month for the 1000th time so I washed my hands of her too. So she tried to make my brother marry her the very next day to throw it in my face. My brother didn't fall for it thank god but she still making him marry her at the end of the month just to piss me off, I wanna kick her ass!

And to top it off, the FFIL sent my fiance a msg on facebook saying "You need to send invitations out, your brother and his girlfriend don't know if they're invited or not, are they?" For one thing, if we had money they would have been done a long time ago, if he helped like he said he would, and second...If you dont already know, my fiances brother and his girlfriend caused a huge fight for my fiance and I, called me a whore and thought it was halarious, acting like our relationship is ALL THEIR BUSINESS and I'm a piece of shit who's lucky to have my fiance... always tryin to start shit and break us up. My fiance's sisters feel the same way about me and have let me know how they feel on more than one occasion so I told them all off. I offered to suck it up for the brother and sisters if I got an apology but the girlfriend can kiss my ass, that wasn't good enough and I didn't get any apologies so I said screw them all then. this is why the FFIL said he was gonna pay but only if all his kids were invited. My fiance said he didn't care if they were there so I told him they can go to hell and over my dead body will they be at my wedding.

I dont know what to do, my BM is gonna try to get something together for me money wise, I'm getting very discouraged fromt he whole thing. Even if it works out, are the people still gonna show up that I dont want there? If they do I'm so outta there... Even if they pay, if those people show up, I'm taking off. I dont even want to take the chance, and my fiance is being totally silent about the whole thing, not talking to me, not talking to his parents, ignoring all conversation about that issue. I feel a big blow out coming on... I'm so tense and frustrated, I'm ready to call his dad myself and say WTF?!?!?! Are you that stupid? Are they invited HAHA RIGHT! Grrrrrrrrr

All this drama because his brother, his girlfriend and his sisters couldn't keep their thoughts and opinions to themselves, always throwin insults at me and trying to cause problems for us. I stood my gound and refused to bow down to their shit, I refused to forgive and forget that kind of treatment from small minded people who can't mind their own business and they make it out to be all MY fault, I'm the one being stupid, I'm the one being the problem, I'm the one being difficult? Screw that, I dont take shit from anyone, no matter who they are. If they think that of me, they don't deserve to know me and I want nothing to do with them.

Elope? Most likely, they make it impossible for me to have a "normal" wedding, make me feel like I have to do it FAR AWAY and hide it from them because of their shit! Uggghhhhhh

There were almost 100... my cousin who is an ameture came and did these for us, my fiance and I chose these as our favs... some of them he looked like a dork and some I looked like a dork... some we both looked like dorks lol! Which ones do you like??? There are a few of my Lil man too :)
