porcelainbride's Green wedding

Originally we'd thrown around the idea of having a church wedding, but when we didn't find anywhere around here we liked (even though, we could've used his church but really, it wasn't what we were looking for) we decided against it. Not to mention, I'm not catholic and I'm not too keen on the idea of converting, or even taking the classes in order to have our wedding in the Church.

Anyway, circumstances changed and now we're having the wedding in Richmond since it'll be easier for us once we get up there. Chris is still wishing we could have a church wedding, so I made a deal with him- if he could find me a church that was drop dead gorgeous, then I'd think about it. And of course- he did. The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond. He was talking about it last night and I was pretty skeptical about it. Then he pulled up the photos of it this evening and holy shit. Its freaking amazing! I really could see myself getting married in that church. Then again, it's not a church is it? it's a cathedral!!

It's so gorgeous!! I'm excited. I told Chris that if he calls them and works out some time for us to see it while we're up there next month, then we'd see what was necessary to marry there.
