a signature mat for the bridal party?

However, i do love the idea of having something framed & signed by everyone that can be hung in our house. So I was thinking if I made my own- the mats are cheap enough to buy in AC Moore or Michaels anyway and put it in a custom frame, maybe I could use a large photo of the entire bridal party (families & all) and have the entire bridal party sign it.

When I mentioned it to my mom, she was a bit "ugh.." about it all and thought it was a silly idea. So, what do you girls think?

we are doing this because it seemes more practical than a guest book.  We can actually display it after, what do you do with a book?

I'm doing it!! We have 150 people coming to our wedding. We made 2 custom frames at michaels and will be put up on 2 easels on either side of the reception doors!

do it, and check out the one's at micheal's, they are better quality than the dollar store.  My cousin has a litle shrine in her house about her wedding day and she had one of those mats around there picture, everyone adores it. People are instantly drawn to it when they see it.
