This is prairiechic's Green Wedding!

Derek and I had been dating just over 4 years when he decided to propose. Did I mention, that those entire 4 years where long distance!

We had been friends for a while and began dating when I graduated from highschool, and moved to get my degree in Visual Communications. While I was going to school, Derek was working and living in Edmonton (only a 6 hour drive). Lucky for me, he was awesome about coming to visit every weekend.

Derek proposed to me on the day of my College Graduation. It was awesome, because his sister as well as my roomate at the time had thrown me a graduation party. Many of our close family and friends were there to help celebrate! All of our friends and Derek's family knew what was coming, but my family and I were completely oblivious. As my one good friend said, "That's the first secret, I've actually really kept!" Just before we were getting ready to leave for the school, Derek pulled me aside and asked if I would like my graduation present.... and opened up the ring box. I was so suprised, all I could say was Thank you!
