This is princessforaday's Purple Wedding!

So basically this is how it all went down. After my 5 month touring gig, Andy and I thought it was time we went on vacation. We planned a trip to Disney World, and we all set to leave once I came back from my gig.

While in Disney World I started noticing all of younger kids walking around with mickey viels and Mr. and Mrs t-shirts. As I was waiting in line I was getting quite upset. here I am a girl in my late twenty's living with my boyfriend, when the heck is he going to pop the question.

So I continued going through my day getting more and more angry, but still making the most of it.

Little did I know that Sir Andre had a plan up his sleeve.

He waited untill just before the fireworks and asked me if we wanted to go somewhere quiet ( I was standing in the middle of Main Street, hey I wanted a good seat) so I went with him and we did find a quiet little pathway. He then asked me if I loved him, and before I could answer there was Andy on one knee proposing!!! I was so happy. I heeled over cried and then took the ring, not even answering his question!!!! He then whispered in my ear "so I take that as a yes?"

YES I yelled!!!! And as he leaned in to kiss me the fireworks started, I have never felt so happy in my entire life!!!!

Ok for my wedding favours I'm planning on making candy coated popcorn!!! It's super easy to do, and wiltons candy melts have a purple colour!!! so I'll toss the popcorn in little plastic bags, add the favour tag and finish it off with a black and white polka dotted ribbon and tada!! DIY wedding favours!!!

Ok so here's the deal. I really want a church wedding. The chuch that I found is 200 years old and they're willing to hold a marriage service for us. I also like that chuches have great acoustics and come equipted with a piano or an organ.

Now here's the downfall. No chuch is going to allow my pug. I really wanted Dexter to be my ring barer.
If we had an outdoor wedding I'd have to lug a casio keyboard up, I'd worry about the aucoutics (my friend is singing at the wedding) and I'd have to find decorations, and chair rentals and it would be a hastle.

But my puggers won't be there. I just can't imagine getting married without my pug not being there. If anyone has words of wisdom, or advice I would love to hear it.

UPDATE

So I've booked the pavillion at Montebello for our ceremony at 1pm. I figure once the ceremony's finished, we will then proceed to the carosaul for more wedding photos. I already booked our officiant we're going with Kettle Creek Weddings. Garry is super friendly and he's going to build our ceremony how we want it. We have also decided to go with a sand ceremony. Both sets of parents will be included, and we're decided that my parents will pour white sand, followed by Andy's rent's who will pour black sand, and then Andy and I will have different shades of purple.

Thanks Krystal Marie!!! I updated my Save the Date invite, I always appreciate tips and things. My wedding's not for a looooong time, but I want everything to be great for the big day!!!

Here's my STD update yet again! I ordered STD magnets!!! There about the size of business cards with a glossy finish. I got I think like 200 magnets for 27.99!!! It's a worldwide company called Vistaprint. I also have my favour tags and return address labels coming from there too!!!

Since we're having a fairy tale wedding, I really wanted the girls to be in a royal purple. We found our dresses at David's Bridal and I was so pleased by the experience! On the same day we were able to pick out my wedding dress as well as try on the bridesmaid dresses with the wedding dress. I'm also purchasing ties for the groomsmen at Mens Warehouse which is right across the street from David's Bridal. Not only do they have a huge assortment of ties, but they match the dress colours to the ties. I'm so excited that I went with these two companies!!! here is a picture that I put together on the Dress Up You Wedding program found on David's Bridal. For any bride that isn't sure of a look or colour scheme, you should check this program out!!!

Again, with my younger sister getting married before me, she recommened THE PHOTO STUDIO. The reside just outside of the GTA . Andy and I went in for one consulation, and after that small hour, we both decided that the Photo Studio is the perfect choice for us.

The company works hand in hand with a videographer that captures your wedding as formal, or as loose and fun as you want. There's many different fomats and layouts to choose from and I'm so excited to work with Steve.

Not only is he doing our wedding but he also agreed to take my performance headshots for a very reasonable price!!!

I can't justify paying hundreds of dollars for a piece of paper. Since I was young I always had a knack for computers and graphics. My lovely sister whom is getting married in a couple of months told me about this program "stoybook creator" is a specially designed program for scrapbooking, but also it's great for invitations, save the date cards, labels, the options are endless. I wanted to make our invitations with my own specail touch.

Andy proposed to me in Disney World last summer and he couldn't have been more on the ball with that one. Out of all the places in the world, he knew that Disney World would be THE perfect spot to propose to me.

So back to the invites...

I took a picture from the exact location where he proposed to me (right by the castle) and cropped it, added a few magical touches and voila, the perfect little invite for my fairy tale wedding!

I have easily decided that my wedding flowers are going to be simple white roses. I love roses and I feel that the white roses will complement my deep purple colours.
