Have you been to or do you plan on going to any bridal shows?

I went to one last year around this time last year with my MOH and I plan on going to another this year with my FMIL. I think it's sort of a waste for me b/c we are having an out of town wedding but there's free stuff (yummy cake samples!!) and lots of good ideas. On top of that I think FMIL will enjoy it.

I went to one it was nice, I plan to go to some more.

I went to two of them, but I agree, it was a waste because I already had most of my vendors choosen, but there was some cake, prizes, and oh yeah, did I mention the cake???? ;)

I've been to what seems like a million bridal shows since ive been engaged. And I agree, they are sort of a waste of time. The first 2 I went to were really helpful because I got to see a lot of the stuff that I would need to inquire about and then the ones after that except for the last one i went too were pointless. The last one I went to gave me a chance to see the limo that i booked for the night and also to meet with my cake maker and also my florist and decorator because they had booths. I put down my deposits those days.

I went to 1, I'll never go again. Boring!

I have gone twice, once in January and once in June. The one in January is the biggest one. My friend is a manager at a bridal shop and she says January is typically the busiest month for them. I was kinda disappointed by the June one, not as many vendors there as in January. It was fun tasting cakes, but I wouldn't spend the money to go unless you have some specific vendors that you're looking to find. You could take your FMIL with you when you pick out linens, dress fitting, decoration shopping, etc. I liked our b/c it had hairstylists that would give you an updo, makeup artists, and best of all, they were giving out 5 min chair massages too! The only vendor that I've used from a bridal show was a cake baker. They had the best cake at the show in June.

I'm going to one this weekend. I have been to one in the past but it was a small one. This one will be huge. I find them useful if you are having your wedding locally. I found my baker at the last one. I'm on a mission for a florist this time.
