Flower Girl Style
Hoping all of this comes together...
I'm hoping to have these flower girl dresses made and hopefully the girls will wear the three layered petticoat. I know-I'm a cruel bride! I have the angel wings, just hopefully they fit!! Otherwise I'll have to order more.
The baskets (which ever I choose) I'll have to figure out how to make. Yeesh. I guess I'll add a little Ring Bearer style in here too. I hope this doesn't seem to ridiculous or corny (b/c my mother is not crazy about it) but I would like the rings (well...fake ones) to be carried in a birds nest. |

Organization
Can I tell you...
Some of you may be saying, "Duh!" But using my thumb drive to keep all my wedding ideas and guest list, etc has been brilliant and easy! I can take it to work, home, to my fiance's, to the florist, everywhere! And show them what I want or need or do some work on things without always dragging my computer around or taking up memory space!

Wedding Dress
Who'd have thought?
Before trying on gowns, I never would have thought I'd like the ballgown look. But I do! Now I've decided not to put the dress that I bought on here b/c I don't want everyone I know that's coming to the wedding to see it until they see it on me! But, I'd like to share a few dresses that inspired me and some of my favorites.
I L-O-V-E all the billowing fabric. The more the better!! |

The Proposal
Tricky,tricky, tricky
I hate to admit, but I had a funny feeling "IT" was coming. Months prior, he asked me if I'd be interested in visiting a vinyard in our state (it is not a wine making state). I was very excited to. I'm figuring it could be my only chance. Well,he didn't mention the vinyard for days, which is a little unusual for him. That's when I started to get suspicious that maybe that was where he would do "IT."
Skip a few months later and I'm not working my 2nd job as much and I'm getting to spend a lot more time with him. Until I get a call and they need to me at work on a Friday. I'm NOT happy! But he's trying to keep me happy and cheer me up. Didn't help a lot. (Little did I know-he was happy I was going to be gone, b/c the ring guy/jeweler had called to say the ring was ready and he was planning on talking to m father that night while I was working.) Friday afternoon I am at his house and he's in the back of the house when the phone rings. I look at the caller ID and it's my father. "Wierd" I think, b/c my father wouldn't normally call the house, he would call my cell phone. I pick up the phone to talk to my dad and he pretends to have the wrong number. I'm thinking-wierd. Mark knows what's happened. (I'm laughing right now just thinking what his face looked like.) My father calls my cell at this point, claiming he didn't know that was me and he was calling to ask me a question which he'd answered himself. Mark was worried. So Friday night I work, disappointed I'm missing a party. Well, I'm also supposed to go into work the next morning (see why I was unhappy about working Friday?) BUT they call me and tell me I don't have to come in (NOT any work by Mark! He WANTED me to work! Part of his plan.) I'm so excited I call him and for some reason, he doesn't seem as happy. :( The plan for the day was: he had to go into work for some quick emergency and a friend was going to come watch the kids, but if was home I could watch them. Then another friend would come over later while he and I went on a date. Sounded good to me! I had a few errands to run however. I called my mom to tell her how excited I was to get off work and when I said, "Guess what!?" She replied in a tone that I thought, "she sounds like she thinks I just got engaged." Well...she knew and must have wondered. So skip WAY ahead to our date. I'm driving his car to somewhere-I have no idea where. He's giving me directions as we go. I'm guessing different things, b/c he's also surprised me with a PICNIC BASKET!! So sweet!!! I CANNOT for the life of me figure out where till we get to a sign telling us to turn here to this vinyard. NOW I'm excited and REALLY suspicious! It was absolutely gorgeous! A perfect day! We sat on the balcony of the winery and had a really nice picnic. I kept expecting him to say, "Wanna go for a walk?" But he didn't (BTW-to all my friends who have "booed" me for missing the OU game, we listened to it on the radio as well as keeping track of the score on TV at the winery thank you very much!) I was disappointed and thought he must not be proposing here, and to be thankful for such an AMAZING date!! We're driving back down the road and I see this cute, picturesqe tree with a picnic table. I point it out to him and then realize we'd gotten tons of pictures of everything else, but no picture of the winery from the road. I ask him to stop to do so. He stops the car by that cute little tree (apparently-this was the spot he'd originally picked out and the exact line he was going to use to get us to stop and get out of the car). At first I wasn't going to get out of the car. I figured he was just taking the picutre and leaving. Remember-I'm disappointed but thankful for a wonderful date! But he asked me to get out to enjoy the scenery a little more. We were hugging and enjoying the romantic atmosphere when he said a few words that let me know what he was about to do. He got on one knee by that little tree and asked me marry him. I just couldn't believe it was actually happening! I cried and cried (Unfortunately-I'm a cryer). The ring is beautiful (maybe later when I get a good picture of it, I'll post it)!!! He is so sweet and romantic! I worked Friday (while Mark and my father met.) |

Guest Book
Any advice?
I saw the quilt idea on another post, and it is from the knot, but I cannot find the spot for this on the website. I was hoping they would give more direction to how big the squares should be. What kind of pattern should I use? Etc. Any ideas? Any help? Anything is much appreciated.
Found the link to the knot!!: http://weddings.theknot.com/ODB/themes/realweddings/detailview.aspx?id=13743&type=3&Wedding_Details=Guest+Book&pageindex=2 |
