Our awesome thank you cards
and our fabulous post wedding website!
We had these awesome thank you cards made and they are fabulous! We have gotten so many compliments and the pearl paper it is on is AMAZING! We also got a website with our package and had it updated after the wedding...it includes some photos, our highlight video, first dance, and photo montage then has a little thank you. I think it turned out great and the guest seem to really enjoy it as well :)

Our surprise first dance!!! It was legendary!
Well, ladies I have a confession...I am a pasty white girl...I fully embrace it...I don't just mean on the outside I mean down to my no rhythm core! My best move is the shopping cart. Hubby is even less coordinated than me and he feels awkward having all eyes on him, so instead of doing our middle school rock back and forth for out first dance I thought this would be a good idea to not feel awkward and have fun at the same time. Our guest loved it, we had so much fun and it was great bonding time around the wedding. If you are planning on doing one of these just know that the beautiful ball gown really gets in the way, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything! Hope you like it! Oh by the way...adorable rocking ends at about 1:15 for those who want to skip forward to the good stuff :)

I know this is a little late, but I thought I would post the photo montage they played at the wedding. It was so cute (a little long), but so much fun! I was excited or do I mean nervous hmmm...to see how my brother reacted to the picture of him dressed as a girl, but he was getting the motorcycle and missed it :( hmmm...maybe that's a good thing :) Anywho...thought I would share the montage with you...next video to come our AWESOME AMAZING FABULOUS UNIQUE first dance!

Perfect way to finish our night
We went bowling!
Our wedding was so much fun. Started with waking up to a fresh snow fall, which almost made me cry. Had a beautiful ceremony, gave him his awesome motorcycle, had the most fun first dance EVER, played in our photobooth, ate ice cream...what to do to finish the night? Go back to where we met and bowl in our dresses and tuxes like we did at prom. It was so relaxing and fun and a great way to end the night before we went back to our villa. I just thought I would post some of our pics from the night, but regardless of what you do I do recommend having something that is away from the big huge crowds and is just some special time for you at some point in the night.

Totally worth it! We had an amazing time!
Are you considering having a phootbooth? Well, after our wedding I can for sure say DO IT! It was such a great time and I know there are some concerns, so I thought I would list what I found to be the pros and the cons.

Some say that it takes away from the dance floor, but I personally found my dance floor always packed and it actually seemed to keep people there. People that normally would have left after the first dance stayed a lot longer to play in the booth.

It set the mood of the wedding as being fun and laid back, so people seemed to be really energized and relaxed.

GREAT memories...we love going through our book and seeing what people wrote and the pics are hilarious!

Our "thank you" sign didn't work at all, so our photographer is working on a thank you card for us, but that is kind of minor.

We used this as our favor and I am really glad that we did. We got a lot of compliments and had so much fun it. The only draw back to it that I encountered was that my single ladies were in it when we did the bouquet toss, so I had fewer girls, but nothing huge. I just wanted to post this because I know a lot of people consider them and I wanted to say that I think it was worth every penny!

Our day after photos!
I LOVED doing the day after photos...even though it wasn't quite the day after since it was after the honeymoon. I felt like it took away that pressure the day of the wedding if we didn't get 6 trillion photos of the two of us. They turned out beautiful and it was so romantic and so much fun!

Wedding Reception
Some of the details and some advice
Our reception was AMAZING! We wanted to have fun and boy did we!

Bring a back up dress...I know this sounds crazy, but one of my friends dress busted at the side, another's dress KILLED her back, so much so she left 2.5 hours early and another had wine spilled all down the front. Though mine was perfect, bring a back up outfit just in case, so if something bad happens it doesn't ruin your night.

If you have a big room I recommend tall centerpieces...it really filled the room and short ones are often times lost behind the napkins. We did two different ones and we got a lot of compliments on the contrast...people enjoyed having different things to look at. I loved our bouquets and I used them in sparkly vases to decorate the head table along with the sparkly candle holders. Then had the crystal columns on each side, which were AMAZING! Using the bouquets we already paid for to decorate with saved money.

People LOVED the lounge furniture...it was a great place for them to take a break from dancing and relax and it set a nice feel for the room.

The signature frames worked great for our "guest book" and look awesome in our house. I do recommend attaching a feather as I did to the pens...it keeps people from accidentally taking them, so you don't have a bunch of different inks.

Our cake was very tasty, but the ice cream was the HUGE hit! People were eating it before dinner and are still talking about how awesome it was :)

The photo booth was great! I will write a separate review on that later.

He LOVED his motorcycle and it went off without a hitch! He was so surprised and everyone loved it, but the most talked about thing was a surprise first dance! I will be posting that with pics and video later.

We just used the lighting that the facility already had, we saved a TON of money, we still had a romantic feel and our party still went til the end...if you are afraid you need lighting to set a mood to keep a party going...you don't.

We didn't have an open bar and we didn't have any complaints at all, so if you are one of those brides that can't afford it...don't stress. We have had SOOOOOOOOO many people tell us that our wedding was the best they have ever been to and we didn't have any alcohol paid for...if you can awesome, but don't think you can't have an amazing wedding without it.

We did Mexican food and got a lot of compliments...make sure you do food you like and are excited about...it is all about you and your personalities coming out.

Most of all relax and make sure that you two have fun together.

Any questions? I would love to answer them for you!

Pro photos and the vows that made everyone cry
Hi loves! I just wanted to post some of my favorite group photos and coupled photos for you to see. We decided to write our own vows and though it made me SUPER nervous I am really glad that we did! It was magical and made me ball like a baby as well as everyone else. Here are the vows that we exchanged:

What he said:

I love you more than brownies, football and dinosaurs. I love the thoughtful notes you leave me to find, the passion you put into everything you do, and how much joy you get from the simple things in life. You are beautiful in all senses of the word. You are my best friend, the one I confide in and the one I turn to in times of turbulence.

Without you I felt lost and incomplete. I know now that I cannot live without you by my side. I want to make a promise to you and everyone here to be faithful to you, protect you and keep you safe, share my experiences, my love and my soul with you.

I want to see the world with you, wake up every morning with you and grow old with you. Together there is nothing we cannot do; there are no walls to tall, no waters too deep, no distances too far. I vow that when we are together we will be in the presence of love always.

What I said:

The day I met you my heart started racing, I got butterflies in my stomach and I couldn’t stop smiling. Six and a half years later and none of that has changed. I love that I can look at you and know what you are thinking. I love that we are a constant reminder to each other not to take life to serious. You are so smart, funny, handsome, kind, athletic, and humble…I couldn’t ask for a better person to spend the rest of my life with. I love that when you kiss me I get weak in the knees, when you hold me I feel safe and when I hear your voice I can’t help, but smile. I am so excited to embark on this journey with you because where ever and whatever we do together I know it will be fun, exciting, slightly terrifying, full of sarcasm and love and will always turn out absolutely perfect for us. I am so excited that you have chosen me to grow old with because even more than I love you I love us together. Brandon, today I promise to cherish you, love you, respect you, laugh with you, cry for you, support you in your goals, continue to surprise you and just be there to stand beside you. I love you with all my heart.

They were beautiful and I really recommend sharing words that day...it is such a personal and amazing moment.

Prncss173 advice on
getting ready...or before the ceremony
Hello beautiful ladies! Overall our day was PERFECT!!! I couldn't have dreamed of a more magnificent day it was everything we dreamed of. I of course want to leave you ladies with some advice for your big days, so I am going to break the wedding up into pieces and give you some suggestions on what I thought went really well and what I would recommend doing differently, so here it goes!

1.) Shoes are amazing...I am obsessed, I have heard a lot of brides say not to spend a ton of money and I must agree. My friend made these shoes for me, so they were totally free, but after the ceremony I switched right into my boots and thank goodness...you want to be comfortable and though heels are adorable they aren't comfy. (For those of you doing personalized shoes...I put mine in a shadow box for all to see and people loved it...along with our vows framed on each side) I think I would have been upset had I spend a ton on my shoes.

2.) Bring shoes to change into for you and your girls...I got them all little black boots, which made trucking through the snow perfect, you can do flip flops for the summer, but they are all still thanking me for those boots, which saved their feet and mine!

3.) My hair lady was an hour late, she didn't do exactly what we had discussed for the girls hair, so she was running even later...that being said if you have a lot of girls have a back up plan (one of my bridesmaids started doing the other girls hair) or bring more than one person)

4.) I do recommend if possible getting ready on the property and having everything come to you. It saves so much time and relieves a lot of stress on the day...especially if anything is running late.

5.) I recommend wearing your hair up...so many of my friends have worn their hair down and it starts to go flat by the end of the night...having it it up it was never in my face or an issue, but still looked beautiful.

6.) I know a lot of girls love the tutu dresses...I had a phattie pie dress for my flower girls and then got a full on tutu thing for my guest book attendant (in pic 7). It was super cute, but it had a ton of static going on, was really itchy, kept getting bigger through the night, so eventually I had her switch into her little shirt I had made that said the crew, just a recommendation if you are looking at this type of dress.

7.) I loved my poofy dress, but make sure you bring pins just in case your bustle breaks (like mine) thank goodness someone had them and it was cake to pin back up, but without them I would have been in big trouble.

8.) The boudoir book went great! He loved the letters with a pic every hour and thought it was a great gift :)

9.) I personally LOVED that we didn't see each other before the ceremony. It was such a great built up excitement and then my husband who I have never ever seen get really emotional welled up with tears the moment he saw me. I feel like I wouldn't have had the same bouncing joy that I did had I already been spending time with him hours before. I was concerned about pictures, but we did a day after shoot and it was magical and I would recommend it to EVERYONE! You can do a trash the dress style or not, but just a day to take photos together...it lays off the pressure on the wedding day, so you get photos together, but everything isn't super rushed and then you get that intimate loving time without a whole lot of people around watching right after. I thought it worked out amazingly! Not to mention our wedding day alone we ended up with 1500 BREATHTAKING photos I can't imagine needing a ton more than that! :)

10.) I recommend a hair trail though not totally necessary, but I don't think a make up trail is necessary. Hair is just a good idea if your hair is weird like mine and is super thick and doesn't hold curl well, etc, etc.

11.) The personalized hangers with the girls names worked out so well! It not only was a great gift for them that provided for cute pics, but it kept all the dresses straight. When they all have the same dresses and similar sizes it is good to have something that distinguishes which on is which.

If you girls have any questions about this part feel free to ask or anything leading up to the ceremony. Next to come is advice for the ceremony, our group pics and our vows :)

Original Unity Ceremony
"heart ceremony"
I know now everyone has the opportunity, but my uncle married us and wrote our ceremony from scratch it was the most original, wonderful and personal ceremony EVER. We have got so many compliments and I absolutely LOVED it. It is somewhat long, but if you are interested in reading it let me know and I can email it to you. He goes in to our love story and how we met and how the universe creates one person to meet at the perfect time and how we met and how we are perfect because I bring magic into the world and Brandon defines the world. Anyways it was really sweet.

Now onto the point. I wanted some kind of unity ceremony so he came up with a "heart ceremony". He had us make a heart symbol like the one in the picture off to the left. Then talked about how we are created in a great love and when we embrace that love we will be living the best life there is, and this symbol is in case we ever lose site of God's love, each others love, feel lonely etc. We look back on this symbol and all the love it holds. Eventually after he was done incorporating the symbol into our story he asked us if we were ready to let go of our hearts so that we may now join lives. At that point we dropped our heart symbol and joined hands.

It was a sweet ceremony and can be altered the way you like and my favorite part is taking these heart pictures now. We take heart pictures to constantly hold memories...we are "feeling our hearts with love and memories" :)

Next up I will post the wonderful vows he wrote that were beautiful!!!
